Name fits perfectly: it smells like Fracas’s teenage daughter. Much sweeter and fruitier, with toasted pear and coconut, it’s creamy. Forget the animal, stately, and sticky neroli of its father, which was a historical reference point. It’s adapted to current times. Don’t misunderstand me; it’s not light, but it’s a rear-guard floral, not an attack one.

Petit Fracas is rich, but in my opinion, it’s not worth the price. At first, I doubted if I was smelling neroli correctly, since they always smell the same to me, but I love them from start to finish. This isn’t a special case: it’s a sweet neroli with good projection without being invasive and excellent longevity. Scent 8/10, longevity 9/10, sillage 7/10, value 6.5/10, versatility 7/10, packaging 7/10. Would I repurchase? Yes. EDIT: After trying more nerolis and using it more, I now see something special. Its sparkling tangerine opening with the sweetness of the pear makes the neroli feel light and pleasant. It’s not heavy or as carnal as in others. It’s perfect for days when you want wearable neroli, not cloying (but also not discreet). Even though I wore it in the cold, it could work in heat. It screams spring to me.

Now I understand why Truth or Dare by Madonna doesn’t smell like a sweet celebrity perfume, but like real high perfumery: Petit Fracas by Robert Piguet is her favorite fragrance. She surely wanted to be inspired by it or create an identical clone to represent herself. The scent is intense and opulent, a spiced floral revolving around neroli and gardenia, then you notice the sandalwood with musk, and it closes with the sweetness of cocoa. In conclusion, if it had a social justice flag and a slogan, it would be the feminist perfume for women in power, created for self-sufficient girls with great personalities. Madonna, Caroline de Monaco, Kim Basinger, Queen Sofia of Spain, Hillary Clinton, and others wear it. Due to the demand from stars, FIFI, the perfumery academy, put it on display on the Walk of Fame.

I just put it on my wrist a few minutes ago and wow. It’s not my type. It doesn’t suit me. It’s a PAM-level scent explosion, strong, like the old ones. I know it has little to do with it, but it reminds me of the first impressions of Poison, and I don’t know if you remember Lou Lou by Cacharel. The neroli is present from start to finish. Not recommended for anyone under 50, in my opinion. Very intense. If you’re looking to go unnoticed, this isn’t your perfume.
