For me, it’s the best dupe for Althaïr—a great perfume at an excellent price.
It’s my dupe for Althaïr, smells amazing and at a price that doesn’t hurt.
It’s a sweet scent, not cloying, with a linear blend of vanilla, woods, and cream. The longevity is very similar to Liquid Brun French Avenue, but once it dries down, it leans more milky or creamy-medical, which doesn’t fully convince me. It’s a fragrance everyone will like, but it’s nothing new or distinctive; it won’t blow your mind or make you break the bank, so I don’t get the hype or the buzz around both scents. Performance and longevity are nearly equal, maybe even slightly better, so if you buy one, you can save on the other. In terms of notes, Perseverance feels a bit more milky (subjective review from 06/22/2025). You can wear it in summer without overdoing it, though it’s better suited for fall and winter. I wouldn’t recommend buying it blind if you don’t already own fragrances in this style, because you might end up disappointed. Above all, don’t let people sell it to you just because it’s trendy or because regular forum users say so. Would I buy it again? You got it, no.
