Descripción

Island Vanilla Dunes by Khadlaj Perfumes is an oriental vanilla fragrance from the olfactory family, designed for men and women. This newly launched scent in 2025 opens with a vibrant top note of vanilla, cinnamon, cardamom, and bergamot. At its heart, the composition softens with the presence of orange blossom and guaiac wood, while the base reveals a warm and persistent sequence of praline, amber, and musk.

  • Am I imagining it, or does this remind me of Armani Emporio Intensely? I don’t own it, but the moment I sprayed it, that scent popped into my head.

  • I’m not a huge fan of sweet perfumes, but I tried this one and have no regrets. It smells rich—sweet, but not cloying. I was told it’s similar to Liquid Brun, so I tested it, and while they’re alike, this version is more wearable and enjoyable to sniff. Atomizer: 10/10, Scent: 10/10. Longevity: still checking. Sillage at arm’s length: 8/10.

  • I bought a decant to try it. As for longevity, projection, and sillage, I don’t know how it will behave on my skin because I haven’t tested it yet, but the opening smells very similar to Liquid Brun to me.

  • It’s a warm and spicy perfume, I sense something similar to Azzaro MWT Parfum. It’s a sweet and clean scent, not so cloying that I consider it suitable for daily wear. Regarding longevity, it’s average, not beast mode; I perceive a maximum of 6 hours. The sillage is moderate, noticeable within a close range of about a meter. In conclusion, it’s worth it for the price; I got it for around 22 dollars and the value for money is good.

What a pleasant smell, I received it yesterday and I still need to get to know it better, but initially it’s a resounding yes. Here the sweetness is more subdued than in Althair or Liquid Brun, plus it has a marked mentholated note in the opening, which I assume comes from the cardamom, making it easier to wear in warm climates where LB and Althair would never be an option. Mention the brutal longevity: I put on 2 sprays at 8 PM and today at 11 AM I can still detect vanilla on my skin, it’s incredible how long it lasts.

What a lovely fragrance. I received it yesterday and haven’t fully explored it yet, but I’m already a huge yes. The sweetness is subtler than in Althair and Liquid Brun, plus there’s a distinct menthol note at first, probably from the cardamom, making it much easier to wear in hot climates where LB and Althair wouldn’t work. The longevity is insane: two sprays at 8 PM, and I can still smell vanilla on my skin at 11 AM today. Absolutely incredible how long it lasts.

  • I bought this perfume blind and it smells delicious, I’ll use it tomorrow. I’ll give the full review in a few months or weeks. I bought it for 20 dollars in Chile. Note: I’m waiting to buy the Le Beau Island Khadja dupe.

  • This is a warm, spicy scent that feels similar to Azzaro MWT Parfum. It’s a sweet, clean smell without being cloying, making it perfect for daily wear. Longevity is average, not a beast mode; I get about 6 hours max. Sillage is moderate, noticeable at about a meter. Overall, it’s worth it for the price—I grabbed it for around $22, great value.

  • I bought this blind and it smells great; I’ll use it tomorrow and give a full review in a few weeks. I picked it up for $20 in Chile. Edit: I’m waiting to try the Island Khadja, the dupe for Le Beau.

  • Okay, after weeks of use, this perfume is only for night or cold weather: it’s a rich cinnamon, vanilla, and praline scent. I haven’t smelled Marly’s Althair, but starting with the bottle and box: the box is regular cardboard, but the bottle is very pretty. The longevity is a beast, lasting me 12 hours, and the projection is high. I own the Bourbon but prefer this one. I bought it by chance because the Le Beau Island Khadja dupe was out of stock.

Greetings! I came back from vacation in Spain and brought only this one (due to logistics, returning loaded with perfumes…). Bingo! I already reviewed it on YouTube, but I’ll definitely test it in its best habitat now, with temperatures between 9 and 16 degrees. Amazing performance! I highly recommend it, but a warning: its sillage is beast mode, 4 sprays are more than enough for 8 hours. It can overwhelm others and even us.

  • It’s a solid dupe for Althaïr by Marly. Projection isn’t super strong, but I’ve gotten plenty of compliments; it’s a great alternative for the price. Longevity is quite good, lasting about 7-8 hours without issues. Recommended.

  • It’s a very good dupe of Marly’s Althaïr. The projection isn’t strong, but I’ve gotten compliments; it’s a good alternative for a great price. The longevity is quite good, about 7 to 8 hours without any issues. RECOMMENDED.

Amazing perfume. Smells incredible and the similarity to Althaïr is between 85% and 90%. I’m very happy; every time I wear it, people ask who smells like that or comment that it smells too good. Friends and acquaintances agree, so I’m satisfied. It fulfilled its goal, and the best part is its absurd price: around 25 dollars.

  • BrayanMayonesa

I bought it recently and I’m pleasantly surprised. It’s super cheap, much cheaper than its rival (Liquid Brun). It’s very similar to PDM Althair, not identical, but a good dupe. It’s an extract, lasts a good while (8-9 hours), and projects well without being a beast. It’s sweet, spicy, and vanilla-forward, perfect for winters or cool nights. 100% recommended if you like vanilla and sweetness.

Total honesty for Althair fans: Vanilla Dunes hits the DNA, though the opening is a bit synthetic and once it dries down (around 10 mins), it’s great. The downside is it doesn’t last or project much; to be fair, it smells more like a cheap dupe than Althair (like Asten or Alhambra). Performance-wise: Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 6/10, Projection 5/10, and Sillage 6/10. Bottom line: don’t waste your money; spend those extra 6 dollars on Liquid Brun, which is a 9/10 in every category.

  • Honest review from an Althaïr lover. Vanilla Dunes captures the DNA well, though the opening is a bit synthetic before settling nicely after 10 minutes. It doesn’t last long, projects weakly, and to be honest, it reminds me more of the cheap Althaïr dupes (like Atelier de Asten or Alhambra’s Victorioso Fearless). Performance breakdown: Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 6/10, Projection 5/10, Sillage 6/10. Bottom line: don’t waste your money; spend those extra $6 on Liquid Brun instead, which is a 9/10 in every way.
