Psicostasis
At first, it smells very much like Tom Ford’s Black Orchid, but then it clearly diverges. What remains is a strange, spicy, rough rose. It has a hint of citrus, the kind naturally found in roses, but it doesn’t smell fresh. You could say it’s velvety, but it’s a cold, sliding velvet, almost scaly. It’s a rare scent, like cyan or those unnatural feather colors. So yes, I think the name fits perfectly.
Psicostasis
Reminds me of Black Orchid by Tom Ford at first, but then it diverges significantly. It leaves behind a strange, spicy, textured rose. There’s a natural citrus note from the flower, but it doesn’t smell fresh. It’s velvety yet cold, slippery, almost scaly. It smells odd, like cyan or the structural colors on feathers, so yes, the name fits well.

My goodness, this is 85% Tom Ford’s Black Orchid. The first sniff instantly reminded me of it. The resemblance is very obvious, but only at the start; once it dries down, it diverges significantly: rose and vetiver take over. I can’t analyze it further without owning the original, which I used to be obsessed with. It’s a dark, complex floral scent that always sounded ‘too much’ to me, with all due respect. It’s strong, long-lasting, and has a powerful trail. If you like Black Orchid, you’ll probably like this; it’s just not for me.
