Thameen seems to only know how to copy the best from others without adding their own touch. Their attempt at an original fragrance is a total failure: it’s 85% similar to Tuscan or Ombré Leather, but more diluted, with less projection and longevity. It smells good, yes, but why pay more for an inferior version when there are better alternatives in every way? Very disappointing.
Thameen seems obsessed with not creating anything original, just copying big creations from others. This launch is a statement of intent, and it’s a bad one. Why? If you want to release your own fragrance following the Tuscan or Ombré Leather line, make it different, not so similar, and definitely not decaf’d with less projection and longevity. Does it smell good? Sure, it copies 85% of something people like. But the alternatives are better in quality, scent, projection, longevity, and price. Bad Thameen, very bad.
A leather perfume? Very different. I don’t get why they named it Leather when it doesn’t smell like leather at all. To me, it’s vanilla and saffron from start to finish. Only up close do you catch a faint, soft leather note. Nothing like a leather jacket, animalic, or dirty. It’s a special scent worth trying. I still don’t know its longevity or sillage, but I’ll keep you posted. I need to wear it more. It’s good, complex, and well-made, no doubt. But it just doesn’t convince me… it’s missing something. That spark? It’s missing.
A leather perfume? The name is misleading because it doesn’t smell like classic leather, animalic, or leather jacket. To me, it’s vanilla and saffron from the very first second, with a very soft, distant leather note at the base. It’s a special and well-made scent, but it lacks spark. I’m not sure if it fully convinces me, though it’s worth trying to see if with more wear I find the missing point.
It smells like a Maison Alhambra clone but with niche prices. Zero originality and pricing that feels like a scam, just like with Nishane. Not worth it.
