  • It’s not a perfume for me, but I recommend giving it a try. It’s similar to L’Interdit, though not exactly the same (neither the Givenchy one is my cup of tea). It’s feminine and strong, suitable for day or night, although I don’t think it should be used in heat because it could be overwhelming. In the comparison, Cher Onyx is sweeter, almost seems to have a gum-like scent, and the sandalwood is very present (sometimes neroli smells like that), while L’Interdit is more “smoky.” After the first hour, they become much more similar. It has moderate/high sillage and lasts more than 8 hours on my skin (even reached 12 inches from the skin), so its performance is amazing and totally recommended, especially for the price. It’s not for blind buying and it’s not for me, but if you like it, it’s 100% worth it.

  • Finally, Maria Cher perfumes have arrived at FRAGRANTICA!! 👏👏👏 A couple of weeks ago I tested Cher Onyx at the pharmacy. I loved it: it’s elegant and tender at the same time. Very versatile, for work, an outing, or a special event. Day, afternoon, night. And very good longevity. In Argentina, they insist it’s a dupe of L’Interdit, but for me, it’s not. I sense it differently, with a more blended mix and without the neroli standing out. It would be in my collection if I weren’t stockpiled, but as soon as I finish my bottles, I’m back for this.

  • Finally on Fragrantica, the perfumes by Maria Cher! 👏 I tried Cher Onyx at the pharmacy and absolutely loved it: it’s elegant and tender, super versatile for work, going out, or events, perfect for day and night. The longevity is excellent. In Argentina, they say it’s a dupe of L’Interdit, but for me, it’s different: it has a more blended composition and the neroli doesn’t stand out as much. I’d buy it if it weren’t out of stock, but once I run out of my current bottles, this is next on my list.

  • Not for me, but I recommend giving it a try. It’s similar to L’Interdit, though not exactly the same (neither the Givenchy one is my cup of tea). It’s feminine and strong. It works for day or night, though it can be heavy in the heat. Compared to L’Interdit, Cher Onyx is sweeter, almost like bubblegum, and the sandalwood is very present (sometimes neroli smells like that), whereas L’Interdit is more ‘smoky’. After the first hour, they smell very similar. It has moderate to high sillage and on my skin, it lasts over 8 hours (it reached 12 hours at skin level); its performance is amazing and totally worth the price. It’s not something to buy blindly and it’s not for me, but if you like it, it’s 100% worth it…

It smells very good; in fact, it’s quite strong and sharp with an explosion of sticky neroli and orange blossom. The bad part is that it doesn’t last long on me, about 3 hours. If it’s similar to L’Interdit Eau de Parfum, it’s a sexy and more nocturnal scent ♡🍸

  • It’s mega similar to L’Interdit, a bit sweeter and chicer. You can tell the neroli, sandalwood, and patchouli are there in full force. It’s very well crafted. It lasted me about 4 hours. I wouldn’t buy it because I don’t like L’Interdit much and it’s too similar. If you like it, go for it. Great price.

  • I bought it at the end of 2022 and I really liked it; it’s super similar to L’Interdit, in fact, it was the only one I brought to my honeymoon and it reminds me of that 💖. I chose it first because it’s not expensive and I’m afraid of breaking it, and because it’s versatile for day or night. Despite this, a few months ago it started smelling weird to me. I saw comments saying the Iris version went downhill, and I think this one is heading the same way; surely the ingredients aren’t the best quality. It’s a perfume to buy and finish, not to keep for a long time (a year and a bit is little for an import, but in Cher’s case, keep that in mind).

It’s exactly like L’Interdit. A fresh pear combined with blood orange creates a beautiful, super versatile fruity cocktail, which unfolds with prominent and sweet neroli and sandalwood without being cloying. It’s elegant and sensual. The only thing I criticize is the longevity: on my skin, it barely lasts 4 hours, and I’d love for it to last longer.

I bought it at the end of 2022 and really liked it; it’s muuuuch like L’Interdit—in fact, it was the only one I took to the honeymoon and it reminds me of that 💖. I chose it because it’s affordable and I didn’t want to fear breaking it, plus it’s versatile for day and night. But for months now, it feels STRANGE. I’ve seen comments about the Iris version and I think this one is heading the same way; maybe the ingredients aren’t the best quality. It’s something to buy and finish, not to hoard (a year is short for an import, but keep that in mind with Cher).

Just like L’Interdit. A fresh pear with blood orange creates a gorgeous, super versatile fruity cocktail that evolves into prominent, sweet neroli and sandalwood without being cloying. Elegant and sensual. My only criticism is the longevity: on my skin, it barely lasts 4 hours, and I’d love for it to last longer.

  • At first, it’s very rich; the top and heart notes are impeccable and the harmony captivates you. However, it doesn’t last long on my skin: after 3 or 4 hours, the base notes are barely noticeable, the orchid isn’t felt, and the patchouli is minimal. Only the deep sandalwood remains, which isn’t the ending I expected.

Nice fragrance. As soon as you apply it, you sense a haze of amberwood (my nightmare), but it dissipates quickly, giving way to white flowers sweetened by pear. Then a red fruit note appears, adding complexity and elegance. It’s more of a night scent and shines in cold weather. The dry-down reaches 40 minutes, with woods that round out the aroma and temper its sweetness. I think those who enjoy Poison will appreciate it. The potency is high at first but fades quickly, without being overwhelming or cloying. I’ll edit later about the longevity. The scent is very good.

  • I love neroli, so if it features it as a star, I’m already excited. I admit the first time I smelled it on a blotter, I didn’t like it; it reminded me of grape bubblegum. A year later, I smelled it again: everything changed. I felt those neroli notes wrapped in sandalwood and I loved it. It’s incredible how our perception changes over time; that’s why you should give perfumes multiple chances. In my case, Onyx was a clear example. It projects well for many hours. I feel it’s fresh, nocturnal, elegant, and slightly sweet. A 10 for Maria Cher, proving their quality once again.

  • I received a sample with another purchase and it hooked me immediately: rich, affordable, and suits everyone. It smells crafted—a white floral with a spicy touch, sexy, invigorating in a good way, and elegant. When I found out it was a dupe of L’Interdit, I bought it, and later the Lattafa one. I adore both, but Onix was my gateway drug.

  • Leslie Lisak

Very similar to L’Interdit, but not identical. It’s less deep and dries down a bit talc-like. It’s a great option; it lasts several hours on the skin, and I see it as a night or evening-out perfume.

  • So rich, good price, and a great imitation of L’Interdit. It lasts a while with good sillage. The opening is a bit different from the original, but within seconds they’re almost identical. I’d buy it again.

  • Out of all the L’Interdit dupes I’ve tried, this is my final choice. Maybe there are others better that I haven’t tested, but I loved this one. I confess I own the Body Mist (which I don’t understand why isn’t listed here, because it’s excellent and has better persistence than the perfumes. For me, it’s exquisite, sweet, juicy, not cloying; you can tell it’s fruity, and when it dries down it’s talc-like and vanillaized, an exquisite vanilla. Only praise. I’ve bought it several times and will keep buying it; it can’t be missing among my perfumes like a few others I love. If you like sweet, vanilla, almond, and fruity-vanilla scents, this is yours. But I insist, in my opinion, the body mist is much better, plus it has more quantity, is more affordable, and lasts longer. It’s not about price, but about longevity. There are many perfumes like this.

  • flor.lucia

Super sweet, but with a neroli floral vibe; that orange opening is very noticeable. It’s definitely more for night and cooler climates; it makes an impact and I’d recommend it for those uses. The price-to-quality ratio with Cher is flawless, and the longevity is very good.

  • MarinaSoledad

Very good imitation of L’Interdit. I didn’t test them one by one, but without a doubt, it’s excellently done.

  • Such a rich aroma with great sillage; one of the most complimented. I smell fruity-woody with a youthful touch that makes it wearable. On my skin, the pear stands out and it smells delicious. My only critique is that I don’t feel much personality; it seems I’ve heard it before, which takes away a bit. But otherwise, it’s a great perfume. If you like simple but high-quality scents, it’s a great option. It’s not heavy; I use it for daily wear. Excellent price-to-quality ratio; I recommend trying it.

  • It’s strong but not overwhelming. On my skin, the patchouli stands out, while the raspberry and florals are barely noticeable. Outdoors, I smell it as citrusy and woody, and as it dries down, the patchouli, florals, and raspberry emerge; it’s very winter-appropriate. I live in a lot of heat, and it can definitely be overwhelming in summer or late spring. I think it’s for evening/night; I’m not sure about day because it’s strong, but it depends on every nose. I was looking for a winter fragrance without vanilla or gourmand notes (those make me cringe), and I loved it. I feel it’s elegant, everyday, warmly cozy, and it keeps me from feeling cold, 😅🤭

  • It’s strong but not overwhelming. On my skin, patchouli is very noticeable, while raspberry and florals are subtle. At first, I smell citrus and woody notes, then patchouli, flowers, and raspberry come out. It’s very winter-appropriate; I live in heat, so in summer or spring it might be too much. I think it’s for late night; I’m not sure about daytime due to the strength, but it depends on each nose. I was looking for a winter scent without vanilla or sweet gourmand (they make me sick), and this one I loved a lot. I feel it’s elegant yet everyday, very warm, like it gives me less of a chill 😅🤭.

  • I always say you have to test before buying. I have the L’Interdit sample and you can tell they’re similar. It’s super night-time, very noticeable, and I get tons of compliments ✨.

  • FlorPerfumito21

So rich, smells like a designer perfume. The neroli and that bubblegum note are super prominent and I love it; I’d definitely buy it again. The only downside is it doesn’t project much, but it keeps me fascinated—I highly recommend it.

  • Yesterday in Buenos Aires, the streets were being perfumed for Mother’s Day. A girl offered me a sample and was so nice. What an amazing scent, I was surprised. It’s a warm classic vanilla that holds its own against Lady Million lines. It’s interesting and potent; the raspberry and vanilla blend perfectly. As it evolves, flowers emerge, the raspberry softens, leaving supreme sophistication. After three hours, the intensity drops and a foamy sandalwood remains on the skin (still with a hint of raspberry) that lasts hours unaltered. I never thought something so cheap (50k pesos vs. 300k for a D&G) could please me so much. I’ve read reviews and own L’Interdit; they barely match in dry-down, but they evolve differently. There are marked differences—Onyx doesn’t remind me of the other, just based on what I’ve read.
