Olène is a walk through a garden of white flowers, fresh, sensual, and energizing. Jasmine dominates. It has medium longevity and a powerful sillage. My favorite Diptyque perfume.
Just bought it and it’s simply exquisite—fresh, very feminine, like a small bouquet where jasmine takes center stage. I absolutely love it; I’ve already worn it three times this week and it smells different each time. Sometimes more floral, other times less, but today it’s rich and incredibly long-lasting. Definitely Diptyque; they have a special touch in their line. 100% recommended.
Just bought Olene… simply exquisite, fresh, very feminine, a bouquet of flowers where jasmine stands out. I love it! I’ve worn it three times in a week and each time was a different experience: once very floral, another less so… but today? Absolutely delicious, super long-lasting! Definitely Diptyque, they have a special touch in their line. 100% recommended.
I should add that after a month with this fragrance, I discovered it smells very similar to Orange Blossom by Jo Malone… no taking sides, I have both! Absolutely delicious!
Even though it’s a very masculine scent, wearing it with so much jasmine sounds contradictory, but it’s all about personal taste. Honestly, the Doson EDP is more wearable for a gentleman; that’s pure, bold neroli, whereas Olene is fresh, tender jasmine. I think I’ll keep Olene for everyday wear and Doson for night outs or romantic dates. Then there’s the new Orphéon, which also plays with jasmine but is better for parties or when dressed to the nines, like a wedding. Diptyque has me completely smitten.
Even though it’s a masculine scent, wearing a cologne with so much jasmine seems contradictory, but it depends on the occasion. I must say Doson EDP would be more suitable for a gentleman than this one. Doson is all about neroli in full splendor, while Olene is fresh and tender jasmine. I’ll stick with Olene for daily wear and Doson for night outs and romantic dates. Then there’s the new Orpehon, also based on jasmine, but more for parties or when dressed to the nines, like to a wedding. Diptyque has me hooked.
One of the best jasmines for its luminosity and intensity. It’s not that typical sweetened jasmine, but a floral, real, and authentic one. It’s immersive; you bury your nose in the flowers to get drunk on them. Fortunately, because I love it. They say Lutens’ ‘A la nuit’ is even better, but I haven’t tried it yet. Olene, one of the best top-tier jasmines.
Why are perfumes so special? Because they bring us memories of the past and help create futures. I have one that, while not extraordinary, has accompanied me since childhood: walks on a small Levantine beach at night, with a giant ice cream and a barquillo, listening to the Mediterranean waves. Logically, I’d expect an aquatic or salty scent, but nothing of that kind takes me back to that moment in my adolescence. One day, I found Olene at my trusted Diptyque store. Since jasmine and ylang-ylang are my favorite flowers, I asked to try it. I don’t care that it’s categorized as feminine; essences have no gender, beauty is beauty. As soon as I put it on my wrist, I was transported back to my 15-year-old self on that beach. I saw oleanders and palm trees, and behind the white fences, blooming jasmine. Anyone who knows their flowers knows they wake up at night with a hypnotic aroma. Olene doesn’t deceive; it’s a realistic yet refined jasmine. Other jasmies hit you in the face, sexual and intense; this one doesn’t. Its ‘photorealism’ is another: as if the flowers had been filtered and blended with others to give freshness. Olene is special because it opens closed doors in my memory with high-quality ingredients. Now that I think about it, I’m not sure if I can objectively evaluate its balance because I confess I have a bias. What I do say is that Olene does what I love about perfumery: opening doors through naturalness. Like many niche scents, it won’t be popular or a blind buy, but it is of great quality. Olene is unique. Cheers! If you like my reviews, follow me on TikTok: Chuliá Parfum Reviews @chulia.my13parfums
I tested it on my skin and I love it; it evokes jasmine and wisteria in a warm garden. Warm flowers under the light of a July morning, my grandparents’ terrace filled with sun-drenched jasmine. It’s one of the most natural jasmine scents I’ve ever smelled; the wisteria and honeysuckle give it a wonderful touch. The opening is strange at first, but once it settles, the evolution is delicious. Unlike other reviews, for me it’s not fresh but very floral and lush, even a bit overwhelming at the start, but that’s not bad—it’s exactly what I’m looking for. It will definitely be my next purchase.
Worn on skin and it’s a hit: jasmine and wisteria in a July garden, warm flowers under the morning sun. It evokes my grandparents’ terrace, full of jasmine. It’s the most natural jasmine I’ve ever smelled, with wisteria and honeysuckle adding a great touch. The opening is strange at first, but it evolves deliciously. Unlike other reviews, it doesn’t smell fresh to me, but rather floral and lush, even overwhelming at first, but for me, it’s a total success. I’ll definitely buy it again without hesitation.
A floral masterpiece! The charm of this bottle is simply incredible.
