I have my Profumo from the 2022 batch.. and yes!! It is a good dupe of the Profumo.. obviously, my Profumo has already macerated quite a bit and smells a lot better.. but side by side there is a lot of similarity.. the Armaf is a little greener.. but wow, they actually pulled it off.. thanks Armaf!!
It smells good, but it’s lacking punch. 🫠
Leaving aside the possible olfactory fatigue that this type of perfume can cause, and focusing on the comparison with the Acqua di Giò, my first impression is that Odyssey Nexus is pretty similar to the ADG Parfum. I couldn’t try the ADG Profumo, so I’m mainly comparing it with the Parfum, which I do own. After about an hour from application, I notice some differences: in the ADG Parfum, the herbal part stands out a bit more, possibly because of the rosemary, while in Odyssey Nexus, the incense is more present. Overall, if you already have the ADG Parfum, I don’t think it’s necessary to buy Odyssey Nexus, since they share a lot of DNA. However, if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative, somewhat less floral or herbal, a little softer, and with slightly more pronounced incense, for the price it seems like a pretty interesting option.
Another fucking bergamot and mandarin perfume, I’m not even going to bother to watch a review, because I’m fed up and saturated with smelling the same citrus aromas but lightly mixed.
I haven’t had the chance to smell ADG Profumo, so I’ll talk about the Nexus as a fragrance and not as an inspiration. It’s a super marine scent; on my skin it feels very intimate, like an ADG but watered down, and my fragrance is authentic. I don’t feel it projects; average longevity of 5 hours, nothing special. I wanted it because I needed a fresh, elegant fragrance that would stand out, but although it meets the first two requirements, it falls short on the third. Really good fragrance if what you’re looking for is not to draw attention. Very masculine, I expected it to be more powerful. Final rating: 8/10. You’re not missing out on much, try it before you buy it.
