Quite representative of its creator. I read opinions on ‘Night’ in forums: few in Spain or Anglophone countries appreciate it; the French understand it best and Italians find no utility. Opinions in Russia are polarized. Many perceive too much sweat and think excessively, in my view, of older women or destitute men, which seems unfair: this could simply smell like the sweat of a healthy person. Night emerges from fragrances where its creator indulges in vices, here interpreting sex or sexuality in a UK nightlife zone: one-night stands between people from bars and clubs. Mr. Cresp explains it’s not for the 99% but for the remaining 1%, and he’s succeeded. It begins with a non-culinary cumin note, nuanced by a mildly spicy saffron that adds depth. It may recall sweat, but not from poor hygiene, rather from a healthy person whose deodorization has expired (clean sweat, if understood that way). The development features a well-executed rose note, not overly lush, with a distant oud cushion that elevates the whole to a ‘perfumed humanity’ result. In this Western world so aseptic and mentally hygienized, this fragrance succeeds in targeting that 1% as a personal alternative. I celebrate that it finds no place outside private space. Still, given that life is lived once, with such civilized projection and longevity, those who like it can be encouraged to use it there and when they want, because there will always be people who criticize for being what it is. I already ordered a bottle I’ll use with pleasure and respect, like any other fragrance. Recommended to try it to define personal boundaries.
Creator representative. I’ve read forum reviews: few in Spain or Anglophone countries appreciate it; the French understand it best, Italians find no utility, and opinions in Russia are polarized. Many detect a sweat smell and judge it as for older women or destitute men, which seems unfair. As a Russian reviewer noted, it can smell like the sweat of a healthy person, nothing more. It opens with a non-culinary cumin note, nuanced by a mildly spicy saffron that adds practical, subliminal depth. Night represents carnal sexual vice and I believe it’s the best perfume of the brand. It’s been said before, but I imagine the perfumer’s skill in making it smell like ‘something’ that transports us or makes us think ‘this smells like sex’. It’s one I’ve shown most to friends and enthusiasts, and 100% agree it delivers ‘that’. Analytically, it mixes a clean musk-like part with a very dirty cumin and rose blend, creating a sensation of a closed room post-coitus plus the body odor of the aftermath. In practice, it’s frankly unusable, and if you have common sense not to bother others, it shouldn’t be worn. Nevertheless, it’s totally worth trying. Rating: 2/10 for wearability, 10/10 for artistry, unique in its kind.
Night represents carnal sexual vice and I believe it’s the best perfume of this brand. It’s been said before, more or less briefly and humorously, but I imagine the perfumer’s skill in making it smell like ‘something’ that transports us or makes us think ‘this really smells like sex’. At first, it smells like the opening of Carolina Herrera’s 212 Sexy Men. But be careful; to me, it reminds more of the armpit of a lady using that pink roll-on deodorant. That was the mental image that formed.
At first spray, it smells similar to the opening of Carolina Herrera 212 Sexy Men. Personal opinion: it smells like a sweaty underarm of a lady using Rosita roll-on deodorant, that was the mental image.
Literally smells like sex, it’s an excellent representation. The only problem is finding the right moment to wear it.
For those living in hot and humid climates, this is like stepping out of the shower without the AC working or a fan blowing. It smells like sweat and humidity, but the rose note makes the nose tolerate it better. I think the recreation of a perfumed, sweating body with roses is very explicit. It’s good to experience the scent, but I wouldn’t wear it.
For those of us living in hot (over 40 degrees) and humid climates, this is equivalent to getting out of the shower with the AC broken and no fan running. If it smells like sweat/humidity, the rose note makes it more tolerable to the nose. I think the recreation of a sweaty body perfumed with roses is very explicit. It’s good to know the scent, but I wouldn’t wear it.
First, let’s calm down, yes, it smells like body odor. To be precise, in my opinion, wearing this on a dryer and my arm smells like a woman’s underarm just as the deodorant stops working, or like a woman’s underwear almost brushing your face. It’s subjective: depending on how you catch it and the moment, it can bring back good memories or turn you on, or seem disgusting. Less wearable than a raccoon with a scarf, but dirty doesn’t smell, it just smells like intimate parts with perfume? Update: days have passed and now I’m thinking of buying the 30ml version, I loved the finish.
First, let’s calm down, yes, this smells like body odor. In my opinion, with the perfume on a blotter and on my arm, it smells like a female armpit right when the deodorant stops working, or like a woman’s underwear almost touching your face before you make love. This is relative: depending on how it hits you and the moment, it can bring good sensations, wonderful memories, excite you, or seem disgusting. Less wearable than a badger in a scarf, but dirty it doesn’t smell, simply to intimate parts perfumed? Update: days have passed and now I seriously consider buying the 30ml version, I loved the finish.
It smells like a knee.
I bought a decant and what can I say about this fragrance: it smells quite similar to Francesca Bianchi’s Lovers Tale. It’s supposed to evoke the carnal odor of intimate relations; I detect quite that cumin giving a scent of non-dirty body fluids, a bit of rose, and on my nose like cinnamon (which could be the saffron). My wife didn’t like it much because she says it smells like sweaty pantyhose, haha. Strange but good odor for the olfactory experience.
