Descripción

Mon Jasmin Noir by Bvlgari is a floral musky woody fragrance for women. Launched in 2011, this composition was created by Olivier Polge and Sophie Labbé. In its opening, the scent unfolds with valley lily and citrus; the heart reveals the presence of jasmine and sambac jasmine; while the base settles on notes of nougat, musk, Virginia cedar, and patchouli.

  • This perfume was a surprise. I almost didn’t like the jasmine scent, but this one has multiple phases: it’s fresh at first, then develops a sweet and elegant aroma with very good sillage. I give it an 8/10.

  • Total surprise. Although I rarely like jasmine, this one has multiple phases: fresh at first, then sweet and elegant, with a good sillage. I give it an 8/10.

  • Exquisite; it evolves throughout the day. At first, it’s sophisticated, but after 2 or 3 hours, the jasmine clearly comes through. I love it.

  • Exquisite. It evolves over time: at first it’s sophisticated, but after two or three hours, the jasmine really shines through. I love it.

  • Very feminine, suitable for all ages, and extremely elegant. It can be worn daily, has good longevity, and I recommend it.

  • Very feminine and elegant, ideal for all ages and for daily wear. It has good longevity, so I recommend it.

  • An elegant and feminine fragrance. It blends jasmine with valley lily, with the former being more intense. The musk gives it a special silkiness and evokes freshness and spring for me.

  • While walking through a perfume shop, I stumbled upon this beautiful bottle; it caught my eye immediately because of how elegant it is. I asked the saleswoman to spray my wrist, and I loved it instantly. The opening is delicate, pure jasmine on my nose, very natural with lily of the valley, fresh, sweet, and elegant. It settles perfectly over time. It doesn’t have a huge trail, but it has great longevity. I could still smell it after six hours, very close to the skin, but it was there. I think it’s ageless, a fragrance for any woman who wants to feel secure, elegant, beautiful, and sophisticated. I love it!

Exquisite, incredible. Anyone who loves jasmine must have this in their collection <3 <3 I LOVE THIS PERFUME <3

  • I only have the sample and honestly, I don’t like it at all. It’s too strong for me; smelling it reminds me of a 70-year-old lady who prefers potent scents. I think it’s made for that type of woman (who should probably wear something fresher for her age). Also, I imagine a rather unfriendly and pedantic person, I don’t know why. The cedar note is very strong, and the nougat with the jasmine… no, it just doesn’t work.

  • Delicious. A very subtle and elegant floral. The citrus notes stand out at first before giving way to the floral, which I love.

I’m sorry I can’t give a good review. I received it as a gift and appreciated the gesture, but I loved the Eau Exquise version, not this one. It’s extremely strong and cloyingly sweet; the freshness of the jasmine gets lost in the heavy nougat sweetness. It gives me terrible headaches and lasts forever. It’s definitely a must-have for those who want to make a bold statement, but for those seeking elegance and discretion, it’s not an option. The bottle, however, is beautiful and distinguished.

I’m sorry I can’t give a good review. I was gifted this and appreciated the gesture, but I loved the Eau Exquise version, not MJN. It turns out to be extremely strong and cloyingly sweet; the freshness and delicacy of the jasmine get lost in all that nougat-like sweetness. It gives me terrible headaches and lasts forever. It’s surely a must-have for those who want to make a bold statement, but for people like me who seek elegance and discretion, it’s not an option. The bottle, however, is beautiful and distinguished.

  • Lily of the valley and jasmine dominate this fragrance. I gave it to my mother years ago; she doesn’t wear it, but the scent is rich and unique.

  • It’s an adorable perfume; it smells of sweet white flowers, very feminine, works for day and night, overflowing with elegance. It has become my new favorite; I’m captivated by this warm blend of my beloved jasmine with a subtle marzipan on a soft woody base. I also consider it a modern all-rounder. The little bottle is gorgeous too. Truly, it’s very recommended if you want elegance, distinction, and refined simplicity all at once. It’s a delight!

  • I’ve had it for a while, however, I hadn’t used it regularly until a month ago. It has become my go-to perfume lately. I think it’s really versatile and wearable; I feel it fits very well in almost any season. The most predominant note is jasmine, but it’s quite original with that background reminiscent of almond nougat. It seems sophisticated and elegant without being too intrusive. Definitely a very good perfume that also has quite good longevity.

Previous thoughts: In 2018, the Spanish Bvlgari data page offered: ‘A sophisticated, luminous, and sensual Eau de Parfum that is part of the Jasmin Noir universe, symbolizing the inimitable values of elegance and refinement beating at the heart of the Bvlgari brand.’ It also listed these notes: Top: Golden citrus and valley lily. Heart: Sambac Jasmine and ‘Angel Wing’ Jasmine. Base: Musky nougat and vibrant wood. Currently, I don’t know if it has been reformulated. Review: Bvlgari has always seemed to me a very cheesy brand in conceptual terms, as their ideas are often abstract or nothing beyond an excuse for self-congratulation (as is the case with Mon Jasmin Noir). I admit the previous description only offers one descriptive word: ‘luminous.’ To be specific, Mon Jasmin Noir, despite being classified as Floral Woody, is perfectly a gourmand fragrance; it’s almost entirely French nougat from start to finish, a very photorealistic, crunchy, warm, and luminous French nougat. To be honest, this presentation came as a surprise to me, especially considering one of its creators was Olivier Polge (who has created infamous fragrances like Gabrielle by Chanel, La Vie Est Belle by Lancome, and a pile of Flowerbomb flankers that no one cares about) and the not-so-notable Sophie Labbe, yet Mon Jasmin Noir is a convincing fragrance. Despite the industrial quantities of nougat, it also features a very creamy base of jasmine and very oily musks (no acidity or woody or fruity notes in my experience). While Mon Jasmin Noir doesn’t seem visually related to its predecessor Jasmin Noir, they share a creamy architecture of white flowers that makes them coherent, although none of the mentioned fragrances can be, in my opinion, praised for their ‘elegance’ or ‘sensuality.’ Being a rather pompous product, the truth is it’s a very versatile fragrance with a trail and longevity that are quite satisfying. Mon Jasmin Noir, despite being from 2011, had a certain peculiarity among that year’s launches. I trust it was commercially overshadowed by the success of fragrances derived from La Vie Est Belle, and I must say its relationship with the latter isn’t that invisible either; however, Mon Jasmin Noir boasts a floral freshness that makes it much less tiring than the hyper-heated gourmands of the early 2010s. In current terms, I trust Mon Jasmin Noir doesn’t seem particularly ‘trendy’ considering the new trend to create fragrances following the Aura by Thierry Mugler pattern (for example, Bella by Nina Ricci), although I still appreciate its practicality and its wonderful presentation of the nougat note (if you don’t like that note, I recommend avoiding it). The concept? Let’s be honest, it doesn’t exist. It’s not a transcendent fragrance, however, it was of higher quality for its time.

  • I love it! I’ve almost finished the bottle. It really needs to be appealing because it smells so much like jasmine, but it’s delicious and elegant. It leaves a spectacular trail; people smell it and you smell it, and that’s very important to me. Spectacular!

It’s a supremely pleasant perfume; I perceive it as a floral gourmand with a moderate to wide trail and long-lasting performance on my skin. Jasmine dominates with the marzipan, creating a feminine, sensual, and warm touch. It can be worn in any climate or season, though I prefer it for special occasions due to that unique aroma combination. To me, it’s an olfactory jewel I’ll definitely buy again; I consider it extremely feminine and seductive.

  • I detect patchouli, patchouli, and maybe cedar. Honestly, I don’t smell any jasmine at all; I expected to since I’m a fan of Jasmin Noir, but this one has nothing to do with it. Personally, I don’t dislike it, but I don’t sense the floral notes. Good for rainy, cool days.

  • Years ago, I bought a 10 ml travel size to try this discontinued fragrance, hoping it would resemble Mon Jasmin Noir Eau Exquise. The truth is, it wasn’t similar at all, as the latter is much sweeter and fresher. This perfume opens with a very citrusy note, but that doesn’t last more than 5 minutes; afterward, the bergamota gives way to jasmine, marzipan (or whatever they imagine it to be, since it doesn’t smell like real marzipan), woods, and musk. As it dries down, cedar takes the spotlight, which is why many say it’s masculine: depending on the weather and skin pH, there were days when its dry-down even smelled a bit like sweat to me. Projection is moderate and it doesn’t last more than 6 hours on my skin. It’s a nice fragrance, very feminine at times and bordering on masculine at others, looking great for day or night in any season. Its discontinuation doesn’t bother me. In fact, after using it a couple of times, I got bored and sold it. Pleasant: 7/10, Interesting: 7/10, Versatile: 8/10, Original: 7/10.

  • I like this perfume; it’s floral but not cloying. On my skin, it feels sweet, with marzipan and patchouli taking the lead. I recommend it for autumn or winter, or for evening wear, as I think it’s too sweet for summer. The little bottle is also very pretty.

  • Just finished it and I absolutely loved it, even though I didn’t detect any marzipan or sweetness. It was a floral, fresh, and green scent on my skin. Like all of Bvlgari: a subtle elegance. It lasted through my workday, about 6 to 8 hours, fading until it sat close to the skin and lingered more on my clothes. Moderate projection. In the first few hours, if I had to return to a room I’d been in, I could still smell it there.
