I picked this up in NY at Arabian Oud because the Desert Falcon Deluxe was sold out; among the options, this one caught my eye with that potent citrus opening and a woody note that smells like a sauna. Upon trying it, I felt it deserved the 300 euros I paid: it starts very citrusy, but that musk note gives it a stagnant water vibe that evolves into suede and fades quickly. It’s an expensive, serious scent, perfect for a suit, though deep down it doesn’t excite me, and I think I would have spent that money better. The only thing saving it is the gorgeous packaging and the service from the two sales associates, who looked like models in traditional attire.
