  Luxuriant is a super rich perfume. It’s mainly sweet and woody, with a creamy elegant chypre base and an almost gourmand spicy touch centered on cinnamon and ginger. Its heart is floral, blending three of my favorite flowers: ylang-ylang, orange blossom, and neroli. This gives it a lot of strength and personality. The performance is moderate; on my skin it lasts about six hours with a soft projection, ideal for daily wear or taking to work. It’s also great for close-range wear because it smells incredibly sensual. All in all, it surprises, it doesn’t bore, and most people will probably like it.   Luxuriant is a super spicy, woody, and warm perfume. The opening with cinnamon and ginger is intense and rich. Then, without fading away, a sweet floral note emerges through orange blossom and ylang-ylang, but it’s very subtle, hidden behind the dominant woods. These woods smell creamy, sweet, and slightly herbal. The projection is moderate and lasts about 6-7 hours on my skin. It’s totally unisex and perfect for cold weather; it makes me feel cozy. It has such a strong woody note that it almost smells like a fireplace, as if there’s a smoky nuance. From the first day, I thought I’d smelled it before. After thinking about it for a while, I identified it: it’s Ebony Wood by Jo Malone for Zara. Both are in the same family, though the Zara version is more linear, with fewer nuances and a more pronounced soapy touch. Since I love Ebony Wood, and this one has better sillage and longevity while costing much less, I’m definitely sticking with the Zara option. Scent: 8.5/10 Longevity: 6.5/10 Sillage: 7.5/10 Value: 6/10 Versatility: 7/10 Packaging: 7.5/10 Would I buy again? I didn’t buy it.
