Luna Rubi by Natura is a chypre fragrance for women. Launched in 2019, this composition was created by Verônica Kato and Alienor Massenet. The top notes unfold with pink pepper, almond, and floral notes; the heart reveals spices, cinnamon, rose petals, Ishpink, and Ocotea Quixos; while the base notes complete the pyramid with Indian spices, woody notes, and Priprioca.

I just received a sample. On blotter paper, it’s a very interesting perfume. It opens with slightly powdery and golden floral notes. Then it becomes creamier, the pink pepper seems to take body, and a fairly murky and not very prominent rose appears. Then the pepper drops almost entirely and stays creamy for a while. This moment is very interesting because it seems to play between opposites, between gold and creams… Then it becomes a bit citrusy, the contribution of the pripioca starts to be felt, soft, not in such large quantities… And there follows an earthy, slightly citrusy, somewhat dirty rose, mixed with the pripioca and some of the typical Luna line patchouli. It never stops surprising me. Tomorrow I’ll try it on my skin and comment… On the skin, I don’t perceive the opening as strong; it’s a bit luminous but not as much as on the paper… I perceive it moving between creamy and earthy/powdery. I think what gives it that earthiness and a certain dirty character is the cinnamon. The cinnamon note is quite intense. After 40 minutes on my hand, I’d say the aroma is a combination of rose and cinnamon, with pripioca and some spices (in the style of five-spice sweet breads). Now more time has passed and there’s still a note I know but can’t identify, something plastic-y but lovely… Could it be the cinnamon-sweetened rose with the pripioca? Certainly, there’s quite a bit of pripioca – not as main as in Magia da Floresta, but it’s there. As hours pass, it takes on a more citrusy nuance, surely from the pripioca, and the cinnamon fades. P.S.: actually, it’s not the known cinnamon it has, but ‘ish pink’ which is an ‘Amazonian cinnamon’.
Ooh, after a few months I finally received the bottle!! And I sprayed it on my arm… In the meantime, I lost the sample so I hadn’t smelled it again… What a beauty, please. Total passion! What a great perfume! This and the Luna Intenso are two gems. It’s quite more complex when sprayed than when tested from the sample. It has salty touches, but they are an effect of the spicy Amazonian cinnamon (Ishpink). This could definitely be a niche perfume – and if not, it fits the bill! For me, it’s a first-rate composition. I take my hat off to Verónica Kato; it seems her nose and her hand have learned a lot.
Beautiful fragrance. I have a sample and it seems like a very feminine and seductive aroma. I sense a very interesting complement between a red fruit and a powdery scent, with a distant rose in the background. I’m not good at describing fragrances, but this is a work of art; anyway, the classic Luna didn’t have good persistence on my skin, let’s see what happens with this one. It keeps the earthy touch of the line.
This review is based on the sample sent by Natura. Let me explain: it’s a punch of Ishpink and pripioca with a quite sweet tone. On my skin, it smells like a mix of Novalgina and wood… A real pity. From the bottle, it smells good, interesting, sweet, and striking. I think it’s for a specific pH and a very specific taste. I agree that it definitely falls into the niche perfume category. It smelled quite good the moment I put it on because it’s clearly well-constructed, but within seconds it turned into a haze I couldn’t stand. To make matters worse, it’s super persistent with a very marked sillage, and that doesn’t help if the perfume doesn’t sit well on your skin. I would definitely only recommend it to smokers who want very potent aromas, fans of Luna Intenso, or lovers of earthy tones. For those who like sweet perfumes, proceed with caution, because sweet it is… but the pripioca makes itself felt a lot, and that might not please those looking for sweeter, less woody or powdery scents. It’s not a bad perfume… It’s a difficult one and not for everyone.
It’s a top-quality fragrance with brutal longevity, but be careful: it’s very invasive. It’s one of the few perfumes that makes you feel yourself all day and can be overwhelming. It’s truly one of the most intense I’ve tried! I recommend testing it on your skin before buying because it’s not for everyone; it’s for a very specific taste.
This test is with a Natura sample. It’s a bomb of iris and pepper with a very sweet touch. On my skin, it smells like a mix of Novalgina and wood… what a pity. From the bottle, it smells good, interesting, and striking; I think it’s for a specific ph and taste. I agree it’s niche. At first, it felt good, well-constructed, but by the second hour it turned into an unbearable haze. Plus, it’s super persistent with a marked trail, which doesn’t help if it doesn’t suit your skin. I’d only recommend it to smokers looking for potent aromas, fans of Luna Intenso or earthy scents. Those who prefer sweet perfumes should be careful, as the pepper is noticeable and might not appeal to those seeking less woody or powdery sweetness. It’s not a bad perfume… just a difficult one, not for everyone.
Today, late afternoon, the Luna Rubí from Argentina arrived. I notice it’s a bit fruitier than the Brazilian one. Neither lasts long, about 5 hours (a bit more very close to the skin). What I think is different is that the Brazilian one dries down to a well-matched earthy patchouli similar to the Luna Intenso, whereas the Argentine one doesn’t stand out as much (so I suppose it feels a bit fruitier and slightly less complex). Otherwise, they’re the same… I mention this only because you could consider applying some patchouli oil before putting on the perfume… I haven’t tried it, just a suggestion… Anyway, it’s muuuy nice as is, fruitier… I think it’s even easier to smell, less weird… I’d even dare to say the Brazilian one works for unisex, and the Argentine one a little less… But it could still suit a man.
It’s a fragrance of very good quality and extremely long-lasting, yet at the same time very invasive. It’s one of those few perfumes where you feel yourself throughout the whole day and it can be somewhat tiring. It’s really one of the most intense perfumes I’ve tried. I advise testing it on skin before buying it because it’s not really for everyone; it’s for a very specific taste.
Natura manages to create sweets that evoke freshness; in this case, it feels very sweet, but also a fresh rose that, when mashed with spices and a touch of cinnamon, gives a somewhat confusing sensation. I’m testing it on blotter paper, of course, so it will vary somewhat on the skin. Quite feminine, youthful, and fitting for these times. However, I think one over-application of this and you can make people nearby sneeze; lovely aroma, moderation is the key with this one.
I don’t recommend buying blind because the scent changes significantly based on pH; on me, the rose and spices dominate. The first time I sprayed it, one spray on my wrist flooded the room. You can detect the pepper and floral notes at the start, though I don’t sense the almond. The fragrance develops like a mix of earthy and spicy flowers where the rose is the protagonist. I can smell the cinnamon, spices, woods, and red rose. At times, that tiny honeyed touch of pripioca appears, giving it sweetness, but I wouldn’t classify it as a sweet perfume. What I enjoy most is how it evolves on the skin over time; it has very interesting nuances. It offers a pleasant sensory experience until the last hours, where only a rose and incense-like aroma remains. It has excellent longevity on my pH, around 8 hours. Projection is medium for the first hour and a half. I feel it’s a perfume for cold weather, day and night. I struggle to find occasions for it. I’m not saying it’s ugly; it’s just not an aroma that will please everyone, which is why I see it as related to niche fragrances.
Sometimes buying blind has its advantages… or not. Reading the notes ‘warm spicy, rose, cinnamon’, I thought nothing could be asked for. A week later, holding the bottle and full of excitement, I felt a divine sweetness. But the moment I sprayed it on my skin, the dilemma began: because cheap doesn’t mean good. That dissonant note makes me recoil; it’s called Ishpink (even the name sounds like a pinch in the nose). Highly repulsive for those without an olfactory culture, it creates an equal mix of love and hate. However, the scale tipped toward love (I guess my nose got used to the pinch) because the other notes are so masterfully combined that it’s impossible not to value this controversial perfume. Warning, use it with moderation; it’s a bomb in terms of longevity and sillage!
As they say, it’s strong and very distinctive. Upon application, you first notice rose pepper and spices; then come the sweet almonds and rose. For about 30 minutes, it oscillates between spices with almond (rare, like flan with bolognese sauce) and spices with rose (reminds me of Kate Moss’s first perfume). Until everything settles and… wow! It becomes a spicy, original blend (goodbye sandalwood and musk, this one doesn’t need them). In the background, a soft sweetness relaxes and prevents you from drowning in all the condiments. Very original, excellent blend 👏👏👏
Like the previous ones, it’s strong and very particular. Upon application, I first felt pink pepper and spices, then sweet almonds and rose. For 30 minutes, it oscillated between spices and sweet almonds (like a flan with bolognese sauce) or spices and rose (reminded me of the first Kate Moss one). Until everything settled and… wow! It became a spicy, original scent (goodbye sandalwood and musk, they don’t need it here). In the base, there’s a soft sweetness to relax and so you don’t feel suffocated by so many spices. What more can I say, very original, excellent combination of scents.
Just arrived, months of waiting, and it’s a delight. Seductive and original, different but delicious. It’s hard to interpret; I smell the cinnamon with more spices and flowers, slightly sweet without being cloying. Without losing that characteristic touch of the Luna line. This and Radiance are my favorites. What beauty.
Luna Rubí is the Natura fragrance that caught my attention most this year (2020). I must say that Natura perfumes are very good, in my opinion. Regardless of the scent, almost all of them, absolutely, last on my skin in an excellent way (except some body splashes and waters, which I don’t feel have good longevity, but that’s logical since the concentration can’t be compared to an eau de toilette or perfume). I think many Natura fragrances have nothing to envy to much more expensive perfumes; I simply love this brand! Some of their scents are quite complex, and I love that! But with Luna Rubí, that’s not the case, at least to my personal taste. I was really drawn to its description, thinking it could be incredible, rich, sensual, and I must say, sensual is… For me, it’s attractive, for better or worse, meaning it causes attraction and memory, surely. I don’t think it’s a perfume that will please everyone. I also acknowledge that I’ve never smelled a similar perfume (it’s true I don’t have much knowledge on the subject, but I have used many different fragrances in my life; I’m not one of those people who wears the same perfume for years, but rather I keep trying new things). I feel Luna Rubí is very sweet yet very herbal and woody. I love sweet perfumes that smell like vanilla, honey, and caramel, but this isn’t the case. I feel it’s a mix of pure herbs, woods, and honey (I know what I’m describing is rare, but in Argentina there are herbal drinks taken as aperitifs; as soon as I smelled Luna Rubí, my memory resembled those drinks but with a very marked sweet touch). I notice it’s spicy, even a bit peppery, extremely strong, and yes, on my skin and especially on clothes, it lasted a long time. Hours and hours. To say that I atomized it one afternoon, went to sleep almost dawn the next night, woke up, and could still smell it very concentrated. I showered, and while some of the scent faded, I could still feel it. It never left the clothes until I washed them. It’s an aroma I don’t much like, but it fixes excellently! I wouldn’t say it’s purely feminine; in itself, it’s very strange… for a women’s perfume, on my skin and in my nose, it’s perceived with a masculine touch and like a men’s perfume (though it’s cataloged as women’s), I feel it’s very sweet. That’s why I can’t categorize it as a totally women’s perfume, in my opinion. Anyway, I will use it on some special occasions since, for my style, it’s not a daily perfume, nor a casual one, nor an aroma I can enjoy using frequently, but I will try to give it opportunities. Honestly, I haven’t used it yet; I only atomized it twice to test it. I’ve had it for two months and haven’t found an occasion to use it. And although I don’t guide myself by seasons regarding scents because I love intense and sweet aromas for any occasion and they generally don’t bother me even in summer, this perfume with lots of heat and during the day, I wouldn’t recommend it. I feel it would look great on special occasions where it deserves to stand out and make a presence with an exotic aroma, always with moderate use, at night or in the afternoon, and in cool to cold weather.

I was very attracted to its description, thinking it would be incredible, rich, and sensual. It is sensual, causes attraction and memories, for sure. I don’t think everyone will like it. I admit I don’t know much about the topic, but I’ve used many fragrances. I feel it’s very sweet, herbal, and woody. I love sweet vanilla or honey scents, but this isn’t one of them. I feel it’s a mix of herbs, woods, and honey (weird, but in Argentina there are herbal drinks that are similar, just with a marked sweet touch). I notice it’s spicy, hot, extremely strong, and lasts a long time. I atomized it one afternoon and felt it concentrated until late at night. I showered and still smelled it; it never left my clothes until I washed them. I don’t like it much, but it has excellent longevity. It’s not purely feminine; on my skin, it has a masculine hint, although it’s categorized as such. I don’t categorize it as a women’s perfume. I’ll use it for special occasions, not daily or casual, but I’ll give it chances. Honestly, I haven’t worn it much; I only atomized it twice. I’ve had it for two months and haven’t found an occasion. I don’t recommend it for hot days; it works well for special occasions to stand out with an exotic aroma, moderate use, at night or in the evening in cool weather.
I really liked Luna Rubí. I feel it’s unisex and quite spicy. The cinnamon is a bit spicy, and the dry down has a soft, fresh sweetness. I love that mix of roses with spices and a woody base. Very niche style, like Mancera’s unisex scents. Medium longevity of 6 hours and high projection without being huge in the first hour. I understand why they say it’s not for everyone: it has a dirty, chaotic opening, very spicy, with an earthy patchouli. Over time, it organizes itself; very niche behavior. I enjoy it a lot; it landed in my hands while testing Natura options to gift to the women in my family. It appeared in the samples, I smelled it, and said: this one is staying with me.
I loved Luna Rubí. I perceive it as unisex and quite spicy. The cinnamon is peppery, and the dry down has a soft, fresh sweetness. I truly adore that mix of roses with spices and a woody base. It’s very in the niche style, like famous unisex scents from Mancera. Longevity is moderate at around 6 hours, with high projection that isn’t overwhelming in the first hour. I completely understand why people say it’s not for everyone. It must be that slightly dirty, chaotic, very spicy opening, almost like it has earthy patchouli. As minutes pass, the scent organizes and settles, a very ‘niche’ behavior. I enjoy it a lot; it landed in my hands while I was testing Natura options to gift to the women in my family. Luna Rubí appeared in the samples, I smelled it, and said: this one stays with me.
Excellent fragrance from Natura. It starts complex and dramatic; at first, the notes aren’t clear, but later each one shines in a well-crafted cosmos. I experience this with several of their scents where I suddenly become anosmic to their aromas, yet in other facets, the perfume seems to flood the air. I’ve read others say the same, so I’m not alone. It’s curious; it happens with Luna Rubí too. After the initial burst, rose pepper and potent flowers emerge, settling into a creamy, slightly almond-scented aroma with hints of cinnamon. A deep rose reminds me of Cartier’s Declaration d’Un Soir (and it’s a bit close to Natura’s Alma), grounding the scent with a watery, fresh touch. The dry down, after a long time, is that soft rose with a slightly sweet ishpink vibe. Luna Rubí is very particular; I don’t recommend buying blind (I did and got lucky), but if you like it, it’s a great experience. Natura proves you don’t need to spend a fortune to get niche quality.
Excellent fragrance from Natura. The scent starts complex and dramatic; at first, the notes aren’t very noticeable, but then they shine in an incredible cosmos. This happens with several from this house where I become anosmic in an instant, but in other facets, the perfume floods the air. I’ve read similar experiences. With Luna Rubí, it happens to me too: after the initial burst comes pink pepper and powerful flowers, then it settles into a creamy, slightly almond scent with touches of cinnamon. A rose reminiscent of Cartier’s Declaration d’Un Soir (approaching Alma by Natura) emerges from the creamy forest, giving it an aquatic and fresh touch. The dry down rests on that soft rose with a slightly sweet pinkish hue. Luna Rubí is very particular; I don’t recommend buying it blindly (I bought it and got lucky), but if you like it, it’s a great experience. Natura proves you don’t need to spend a lot to have niche quality.
What a delicious perfume. Super warm, winter, and spicy. You can feel the cinnamon, the spices, along with the almond and pepper that make it spicy. Very delicious. Excellent longevity and sillage; it’s not invasive, stays close but you notice it. Highly recommended if you like sweet, spicy, and warm perfumes. Natura did it again!
Intense perfume with extreme longevity and a 6-hour sillage. I love it; it’s spicy, you can definitely smell the cinnamon; it has a masculine air, but the floral notes give it a feminine touch with presence.
Mysterious, sensual, and spicy fragrance. The warmth of hot and sweet spices gives it a Christmas vibe, but in the dry down, almond and rose dominate, very feminine. Great price and quality.
I tried it as a decant from Natura and loved it; I’ll definitely be buying it. I’d describe it as mysterious, sophisticated, and sensual for special occasions. I’m surprised they call it unisex; I feel very feminine and luxurious about it. Smells like an expensive perfume, not for everyone. At 800 pesos for 50ml, it’s not cheap, but it’s worth every penny. I’d only wear it for very special events, so I doubt I’ll buy it right now since I already have too many perfumes.
It’s not sweet; it’s a floral bouquet mixed with spices and cinnamon that reminds me of Alien Fusion by Mugler. Perfect for feeling unique—not typical flirting or cheap sensuality; it’s original and spicy. Great longevity and sillage, top-notch quality.
The opening scent isn’t that rich, but a few seconds later it opens up wonderfully. It smells olfactorily like Luna Radiante; the Luna scents from Natura share the same signature. Personally, I liked this one more; at a certain point, it gives mentholated and spiced sensations, with a sweetness I learned to love from Amor Repio, though I feel this Rubí is more elegant, suitable for the office or for the night. After hours, it’s still on the skin, ending up as a soft talc after 8 hours.
I love it. To me, it’s sweet and spiced florals. It reminds me of a perfume from the nineties. Very good longevity and trail; it gives warmth, perfect for winter. 😍
Luna Rubí is potent, not for anyone, lasts a long time even though I don’t usually notice perfumes. It has a vintage vibe and is spicy-sweet. If you like warm spices, this is it. If you’re looking for almonds or cinnamon, I don’t sense them, nor woods… it’s a cocktail of ‘condiments’ over crushed rose petals with pink pepper. I feel bursts of spicy rose throughout the life of the perfume, something annoying if you over-spray and somewhat tiring, but after a while without using it, I start missing it; it’s addictive and yet tiring, in a loop… beautiful and totally different from what I smelled in Natura’s feminine line.
The Luna line from Natura has its masterpiece here. Top-tier quality with a trail and longevity that are captivating. The scent is special, rare, sweet, and perfect for winter. It has an acidic touch I can’t quite place—maybe from the paprika giving it that sweetness; I don’t detect the rose or pepper, but other spices stand out, though the cinnamon isn’t pure and the almond note is barely there. Still, the blend makes it unique and very special.
One of the best in the Luna line from Natura. It’s a perfume of excellent quality, longevity, and trail. Its scent is special, rare, sweet, and perfect for winter. It has an acidic touch I don’t know where it comes from, but it might be the paprika, which adds its sweetness. I don’t sense the rose or the pink pepper. For me, other spices stand out, though the cinnamon isn’t perceived pure. Almonds are nonexistent; you won’t find them here. But the combination of notes makes this perfume very special and unique.
Luna Rubí is potent, not for everyone, and lasts a long time—even though I don’t usually care about perfumes. It has a vintage vibe and is sweetly spiced. If you like warm spices, you’re here. If you’re looking for almonds or cinnamon, you won’t find them, nor will you sense the woods. It’s a cocktail of ‘condiments’ over crushed rose petals with pink pepper. I feel bursts of spicy rose throughout the life of the perfume, which can be overwhelming if you over-spray and tiring, but after a while without using it, I miss it. It’s addictive yet exhausting, in a loop. Beautiful and totally different from what I’ve smelled from Natura’s feminine line.
Never buy this blind unless you love the idea of a halo of smoke following you everywhere. I’m fascinated by its notes until they settle and start smoking their woods for about 8 hours on my skin. The smoky part kills me; all the beauty of this perfume gets incinerated by that persistent, invasive smoky potency. I find a lack of balance and regret that they ruined this perfume with such beautiful notes by emphasizing its unbearable smoke note.
An exquisite, sensual perfume for an interesting woman. I bought it blind; there were many controversial reviews, but in the end, it surprised me—it’s very lovely. It stands out in my collection. You can smell the pink pepper and spices in a sweet, sensual way. Cinnamon is present along with the woods; it smells like an executive woman. Longevity on my skin is medium, same as the trail; I didn’t experience that great longevity people talk about. I think it suits almost any season and age, but always for nights or formal events. I would buy it again.
Luna Rubí is like a shopping sunset in India, stepping into a small shop with doors ajar, where upon entering we find bowls with assorted spices arranged in a circle on a wooden tray adorned with rose petals and cinnamon pods. It’s not for blind buying; it’s a perfumery construction that is rare and stands out among so many. I catalog it as ultra-mystical and seductive. Totally unisex—it’s not masculine or feminine; it’s true unisex with everything that implies. A bold proposal from Natura. Excellent longevity, over 10 hours on my skin. Trail and projection are impeccable, intense for the first 5 hours.
I received this perfume today in an exchange and I loved it. My experience wasn’t what I expected based on the comments, but that didn’t mean I didn’t like it—I loved it! 😍 I was eager to try Delilah, and surprisingly, it’s very much in that vibe. The pink pepper and rose mainly stay on my skin. Divine. It’s not as sweet and full-bodied as other Luna line scents.
To me, it’s the female version of Carolina Herrera’s Central Park. It’s the same, just more woody. That’s why I bought it—it reminded me of that perfume I couldn’t have at the time. It’s floral but woody, a chypre style; the pink pepper is noticeable, yet it has that sweet touch and a woody base at the end. It doesn’t have as many florals as Central Park, but it transports me back to an autumn afternoon having an outdoor picnic.
I laugh that Luna Rubí doesn’t have more points here. Maybe it’s because previous reviews called it a risky Natura gamble and a very authentic scent when it launched. It’s not mass-appeal or to everyone’s taste. I absolutely love its roses, pink pepper, warm spices, and woods. I pull it out of the drawer as soon as autumn starts. The trail and projection are strong; I wore it in the morning and it still smelled like Luna Rubí before my evening shower. Another treasure I hope gets relaunched in Mexico’s magazine and in all countries where it’s sold ❤️
