This is a terrible replacement for the previous Yves Rocher product, and the worst part is it costs double. It’s not a long-lasting scent; it barely lasts until mid-morning. At first, it smells like lilacs, but then it’s as if I’m not wearing anything at all. What a shame. It doesn’t have any powder scent to it.
They swapped my perfume for another lilac one, the Pur Désir de Fleurs, but this new one smells different and doesn’t last even a minute. I hope they restock the original! It was amazing; people kept asking what I was wearing. I’ve visited several stores, and the salespeople confirm that many people are looking for it. If a customer insists, I think they should listen and bring it back.

This perfume, or rather the eau toilette, is one of my mother’s favorites. The resinous notes are completely undetectable; the lilacs are soft and delicate, and with the green notes, it’s refreshing. It’s very suitable for all seasons and occasions since it’s not intrusive or heavy at all. Personally, I like it on her, but it doesn’t work on me—it makes me melancholic (probably due to pH differences). I think it’s more suitable for women over 50 who are looking for softer, more subtle fragrances.
It’s a poorly executed attempt at an EDT version of Pur désir Lilac. It doesn’t last on the skin, and it doesn’t have the same scent. Let’s hope they start distributing the EDP again someday.
Just received it as a free gift (100ml) when I bought a bottle of Muguet for my mom. I had no idea what to expect—I’ve never smelled a lilac in my life. Honestly, I thought it would smell like a violet, given the mauve color I saw in the photos, but that’s all. As soon as I took off the cap, I knew it wasn’t for me. It’s not that I don’t find the scent pleasant, but it feels absolutely not youthful. I’ll say something paradoxical, but even though my boyfriend and I agreed it smells like authentic fresh natural flowers (and he’s never smelled a lilac either), it doesn’t feel fresh at all. It smells like a living flower, but dense, with a heaviness that feels languid. It’s like it’s clogging my airways. I find it too heavy for anyone under 60 or 65 (I’ll put the accent mark or I’ll break something, despite the RAE and their nonsense). I must have smelled a similar scent on a woman in my childhood, because it feels incredibly familiar. The exact moment I inhaled, I pictured a mature, round, smiling woman with pale, soft skin in a blindingly bright house with windows everywhere, surrounded by a garden. Light furniture, white wicker baskets, hanging plants, and immaculate white walls. Cleanliness, serenity, calm, and a Persian cat yawning on a floral cushion on an Emmanuelle chair. A soft hug from that woman in that house—that’s how Lilas Mauve smells to me.
Ives Rocher LILAS MAUVE perfume: Good afternoon, lilac is my favorite flower, more precisely the purple one, forgive the redundancy, since this flower gave its name to the color. There are also white and mauve ones. The flowers grow in clusters and look gorgeous in a clear glass vase, where you can also see their stems and leaves. Lilacs beautify and fill any room with their scent. They originate from Persia and Turkey. At my school, lilac bushes grew abundantly, and no one missed the one or two flowers I would steal with excitement and stealth during the months of May. Every time I return to my homeland in spring, the sight of blooming lilacs fills me with joy. So, I know the scent of lilacs very well and can assure you that the LILES MAUVE perfume smells exactly like lilacs, no more, no less. Notice that the creator of this fragrance is the great Annick Menardo. It’s true that its longevity is weak (not scarce) and its trail is moderate, but they are more than enough. We can always apply a bit more whenever necessary. For those who like lilacs, try using this fragrance during spring days and nights. I usually spray it ‘into the air’ to scent my home. It saddens me that there are hardly any perfumes where lilac stands out. Greetings.
Yves Rocher LILAS MAUVE: Lilac is my favorite flower—the one that gave its name to the color. They’re gorgeous in glass vases, with stems and leaves visible, beautifying any space and filling it with scent. Native to Persia and Turkey, these bushes grew wildly at my school, and I’d sneak flowers with excitement every May. Returning to my homeland in spring, seeing them bloom always fills me with joy. It’s true the longevity is light and the trail moderate, but it’s enough. We can always reapply if needed. If you love lilacs, try it in spring. I sprayed it in the air to scent my home. It saddens me that there are so few perfumes featuring lilac. Best regards.
Such beautiful, fresh, and soft lilac notes here, complete with the leaves. Even though the scent is synthetic, it’s executed brilliantly. It’s one of my favorite fragrances for sleeping; it really relaxes me. What a shame the scent lasts only a breath.
