Lieu de Rêves opens with a gorgeous, dense heliotrope and a talcum violet that intensifies when it joins the unmistakable iris—that one giving it the lipstick touch; it’s rich to watch the heliotrope, violet, and iris dance, a sensory delight. At 10 minutes, a very shy yet coquettish rose emerges alongside natural vanilla, as if you’re smelling it right in its pod. The musk, tonka bean, amber, and a delicious wood close out the base, holding up the weight of everything. I’ve already tried three creations from this house, and they’re all wonderful: elegant, classic, talcum-like, with a subtle sweetness and sensual without being sexy. They feature flowers, woods, and spices. To my nose, it’s more floral and sweet than Cameo or To Dream, but I can’t pick a favorite because I’m in love with the entire line, its concept, and its great elegance. I highly recommend these perfumes: they’re sublime, exquisite, impossible to dislike. Though they have a vintage touch, they don’t smell old; they have a breath of modernity and a very distinct style. Definitely, I want them all.
