About Let’s Pretend
Let's Pretend by Etat Libre d'Orange: A Bold Olfactory Fantasy
Etat Libre d'Orange challenges conventions once again with 'Let's Pretend,' a fragrance that plays with contrasts between sweet and spicy, floral and woody. Launched in 2026, this creation by perfumer Nisrine Bouzaazoui Grillié invites a sensory journey where imagination is the only limit.
The opening is an explosion of saffron, mandarin, and pink pepper, awakening the senses with vibrant, slightly pungent warmth. At the heart, peach intertwines with osmanthus and jasmine sambac, creating a velvety, fruity texture that's almost addictive. The base, composed of Georgywood, Akigalawood, benzoin, cedar, and styrax, adds a woody, balsamic depth that balances the initial sweetness.
This fragrance is ideal for men and women who love contrasts, who enjoy experimenting with unconventional scents, and who seek a signature scent that speaks to their creative personality. Perfect for special occasions or for daily wear if you have the confidence to carry it off.
In summary, 'Let's Pretend' is an olfactory work of art that defies expectations. Its blend of fruity, spicy, and woody notes makes it a versatile and memorable choice. If you're looking for a fragrance that makes you dream and play, this is your pick.

I really liked it. I got it in the typical 4 stages of orange kit. It seemed to me the most “safe” of all, at the same time the most long-lasting and the one that projected the most in my first impressions. I notice the mandarin very lightly; to me, what it smells like is a super juicy and dripping nectarine, super realistic by the way, which dries down to a beautiful woody, somewhat fruity scent. I see it as perfect for warm and semi-warm climates and especially for daytime. I really liked it.
