  When I tried it, it reminded me a lot of Chanel No. 5 Eau Première (2015 version), but with a much sharper musk.

  Beautiful. I have no words to describe it. Super sparkling aldehydes, with a creamy and addictive ylang-ylang. Although it shares notes with Chanel No. 5 and was born as a variation of it, I don’t find any resemblance; it depends on each person’s sense of smell 😊. Chanel No. 22 feels slightly powdery when it dries, and once settled, some very sweet and strong nardos come out. Although I try to perceive the rose, I don’t feel it anywhere. For me, Chanel No. 22 is like if in 2087 they tried to recreate a futuristic perfume based on old-school notes. Knock knock! Warning to nerdo lovers: even if your style isn’t vintage, this is a must-try. Be careful, as it seems delicate but has great longevity and can be overpowering if you overapply. Chanel No. 22 is a dream in a bottle.

  What a beautiful composition. I love aldehydes and the Neroli in the opening more every day. Once that floral sensation settles, it’s impressive how it always accompanies the vetiver and vanilla. Special mention to that elegant ylang-ylang, along with the jasmine, rose, and neroli ❤️

  It’s special to me. Recently, I read about Gustav Klimt and his painting ‘The Kiss’. What interested me was the image of the kissed woman and how she transcends time. I realized that a woman is beautiful, interesting, and from an aesthetic point of view, can evoke other forms of beauty. I haven’t tried the original No. 22, but I did test Chanel Les Exclusifs No. 22, and it gave me the abstract image of a woman’s beauty, not a specific woman. I love aldehydes because they ‘ground’ the wearer, turning them into a flesh-and-blood being, not just a flower carrier. Ironically, they make you think that when you like someone, the best perfume is their own scent, and searching for that scent under perfumes like this is very stimulating. For me, Chanel Les Exclusifs No. 22 is a great complement for a woman to feel beautiful, because she is. That’s why I highly recommend trying it.

  Sometimes I feel Chanel’s No. 22 wasn’t my choice, but theirs. It chose me, as if an ancient genetic code connected me to women who love mystery and discreet elegance. It doesn’t smell like the past; it smells like mine, but revealed from within, like a vintage negative photo. I went to the Serrano boutique for a Les Exclusifs presentation, looking for something else, but this No. 22 truly captivated me. It wasn’t a whim; it was something deep, a silent love that felt like it already knew me. The aldehydic opening has that 80s lacquer touch and a floral soap accord, like those from old vanity tables. It reminds me of a woman from another era who saved up for sheer stockings and used carmine as provocation, living without fuss but with immense inner elegance. Born in 1922, a year after No. 5, as if coming to complete its revolution. While No. 5 was the modern, abstract rupture, No. 22 is its spiritual sibling: whiter, brighter, with an idealistic heart of jasmine, neroli, lily, and rose. Born in the 20s with women’s liberation and Art Deco, evoking untethered femininity. Wearing it is being a black-and-white woman who already knows what’s coming: independence and desire.
