Green is the color I want green to be! The opening is super green, floral, and fresh, with a refined, classic, and elegant touch that reminds me of Nicole Kidman: delicate features, a woman of substance. Although it’s from Chanel’s private line and that doesn’t make it spectacular, it smells good and I like it, even if it doesn’t blow my mind. At the boutique I thought it was unisex, but at the hotel I confirmed it’s for women; it’s more feminine than masculine. Perfect for casual wear in hot weather because it’s so refreshing, with a linear scent, soft to moderate projection, aimed at people over 30. The 75ml bottle runs about $170 and comes with a free ceramic pendant to spray your chosen perfume on.

The EDT opening is magical: luminous, aquatic, fruity, and above all green. The herbal notes take the lead; I detect chamomile, jasmine, and sage, but there’s more. In the dry down, there’s a hint of rose and melon, even though it’s not listed—it smells like melon. This blend would be a medicinal disaster in another house, but Chanel has made it elegant and fascinating thanks to its complexity. It’s an intimate scent, perfect for enjoying on a quiet day alone. It doesn’t project beyond 30-50 cm.
