  I own several Elie Saab fragrances, and my favorite so far is Elie Saab Le Parfum (2011). I had high hopes for the Bridal version since the scent profile looks promising. It opens with citrus notes but transitions quickly. Here, I detect neroli, gardenia, and ylang-ylang. What a beautiful floral combination! Although this trio isn’t new in perfumery, their blend here is divine thanks to the base notes. I’ve read and heard this scent is powdery, with that effect attributed to iris, but I think it’s actually the amber and benzoin that create the powdery feel, along with a balsamic, herbal, or maybe toasted almond sensation that might mimic iris, but for me, there’s no iris. To me, it’s flowers heavily accented with benzoin and amber, which make the florals woody. While the olfactive pyramid isn’t new, I still really like it. I consider it a fragrance I can wear all year round. The trail is subtle, but I still enjoy it.

  I swear, I can’t find any of the listed notes. So don’t buy it blindly because it’s nothing like the description. The very first thing I smelled right after spraying it was iris for a long time, until it transformed into something totally spiced, like a blend of incense and leather. Not even the name fits this scent.
