Korloff for Men was a pleasant surprise. It belongs to the woody-spicy family, with notes similar to Montblanc Explorer or Armaf Club de Nuit Intense EDP. It’s also compared to Creed Green Irish Tweed and Hermès Bel Ami; being in the same family, I can assure you that in terms of quality and projection, it stands on par with Bel Ami, even surpassing it. It’s a refined and elegant fragrance that calls for elegance and semi-formal gatherings, with good longevity and sillage that’s controlled and soft. The quality of the ingredients and the blend seems very well suited for autumn and spring. If you find it at a good price, enjoy fragrances in this olfactive family, and want something more elegant and higher quality, this is the one for you. The downside is that it’s somewhat limited in versatility; it’s not for every occasion. This screams elegant shirt, meeting suit, tuxedo, bow tie, or necktie, and it pairs perfectly with a trip to the opera.
