  • The last review reminded me I had a bottle of this Irium lying around, so I applied it this morning. It’s a very refined scent, a mix of citrus and wood with a herbal touch that adds elegance. It’s perfectly balanced and high quality. It’s crisp, formal, and radiates good taste; it could easily pass as a niche fragrance. Its only downside, as my fellow reviewer noted, is the weak projection: it’s faint at first and sits very close to the skin almost immediately. Generously applied, I can still smell it after six hours if I lean in close. Its performance in projection and longevity is terribly poor, which takes points off, but it’s exquisitely constructed. Rating: 7/10.

  • This was my first perfume bought with my own money, I remember clearly: 1,600 pesetas, no spray, and had to be applied like aftershave. I poured it out with extreme care not to spill, it was so valuable to me back then; I remember saving up for a while to get it. What beautiful memories it evokes, who wouldn’t want to return to that wonderful age. It was a soft, very soft, woody, sweet, and spicy fragrance. According to my memory, it was like an Egoiste Platinum in its dry-down, very diluted, which back then smelled like heaven to me; every time I wore it, I got compliments from the girls in the gang, yes, the gang, because back then we hung out in groups, lol, though that’s not really a thing anymore. The longevity and trail were very weak, max 2 hours, and the trail was non-existent after half an hour. I keep it in my collection because sentimentally it means more to me than as a fragrance in itself, but I’d love to smell it again, even though it’s hard to find and when it does appear it never goes below 40 euros, and at that price I’m more interested in current perfumes I’m hunting for.

  • Oh, Darkbeat, the gangster king…;) I snagged it at a flea market for just 3 euros and absolutely loved it. It brings my wife memories of when we were dating, even though I never actually dated that girl. It was my Massimo Dutti, Cacharel, Joop, Paco Rabanne, Puig Vetiver, and my beloved Trussardi era (now discontinued). Maybe it’s a blend of all of them. Simply exquisite, honestly.
