A work of art in every sense of the word. It seems like a unique and feminine fragrance. It turns into honey, an elegant honey. For a lady. 10/10

  • A work of art as expected from this house. It has a creamy opening from start to finish that I love; it’s an absolute delight. It gives me 1 aura of Tom Ford’s Noir Extreme, but this one is of much higher quality and creamier. I’ll let it macerate for a bit since I don’t see much projection right now. Should I recommend buying it blind? If you want quality and a scent similar to Noir Extreme, for sure; the aroma will definitely please you. I see it as totally unisex… though it leans more towards men…

  • I don’t know why it’s called incense and wood; I only find a creamy note that I dislike from start to finish, with no evolution whatsoever.

Today I’ve been ‘savoring’ this gorgeous fragrance thanks to a gifted decant. On me, it takes all the time to smell woody and spicy, and as hours pass, a resinous and vanilla base emerges. Personally, I don’t notice the citrus notes it carries. It’s an evolving perfume, loaded with nuances and very harmonious. Apparently, depending on pH (as often happens), it takes on one intensity or another. What stands out most is the Ceylon cinnamon, present from the first spray; the cardamomo along with the woods and that touch of amber, labdanum, and vanilla. On my skin, it has good longevity (around 8 hours) and develops intensely throughout, though it fades at the end and becomes creamier. I don’t recommend buying it blind; test it on skin first to see how it develops.

  • @Esperteyu Same here; I think it’s the amber because it smells very animalic. We’ll see how it evolves to complete the review. Edit: Finally, the first impression left me with a creamy and animalic sensation. It took 3 wears to find its footing; personally, I feel it’s very creamy and warm due to the ingredient blend. For formal wear, I don’t see it as suitable for an ordinary office day, unless you have an important meeting or interview.

  • Nothing works for me. That creamy citrus opening with a sweet twist smells like Halls orange caramel. I can’t do it. I detect spices, tonka bean, and that amber vibe. Out of everything I’ve tried, this is the first Rosendo Mateu that doesn’t fit me. It’s ideal for cold weather and has decent performance.
