Got this blind as a dupe for JPG Le Male Elixir. It has the same notes, but the quality is way inferior. The opening is its weak point—it feels dry even before the scent kicks in. Once it dries down and time passes, it becomes more pleasant, revealing those sweet, vanilla notes everyone loves. Longevity and projection aren’t the best, but for the price, it’s pretty decent. Just don’t expect a true blind buy experience.
Bought this blind looking for a dupe of JPG Elixir. Same notes, but the quality is much lower. The opening is its flaw: it feels dry even before the scent develops. As it dries down, it improves and those sweet, vanilla notes everyone loves start to emerge. Longevity and projection aren’t great, but considering the price, it’s quite good. Note: don’t expect a true blind buy.
Few perfumes have made me as happy as JPG Le Male Elixir; it’s a fantastic alternative. The scent is rich, with a very pleasant moderate trail and excellent longevity, just like the original. I’d recommend it more for nights out, dinners, or dancing, though it’s not annoying at all during the day. In dry winter weather, it lasts 10 hours without problems before fading to a skin scent. The trail is moderate for the first hour, with constant waves in my personal bubble lasting many hours after. In Chile, it’s worth $12-15.
As rarely happens, JPG Le Male Elixir is an excellent alternative. It’s not identical, but the scent is rich, with a very pleasant moderate trail and top-tier longevity—just like the original. I see it as perfect for nights out, dinners, or dancing, though it’s not bothersome at all during the day. In dry winter weather, it lasts 10 hours without issues before settling close to the skin. The trail is moderate for the first hour, with constant waves in my personal bubble lasting many hours after. Price in Chile: $12-15 USD.
