Pineward nailed one of the few gourmands that actually appeal to me. I’m a total zero for this profile. It starts sweet and spicy with honey… it’s creamy. The profile is very distinct, yet not sugary or loud, and it has a certain darkness that makes it more wearable and attractive to me. True, it’s for very restricted use—cold weather, comforting at home, with Christmas in mind, unisex, and with nuclear performance. It smells great, yes. But I wouldn’t buy it. I’ll put it in the ‘aromas I love but won’t keep in my collection’ pile. It has an addictive quality…
It’s a super-spicy gourmand idea with a woody base and a constant freshness that makes you breathe easier. I’m guessing it’s ginger, but it smells a bit like fir or pine resin. It’s not truly gourmand, but the word fits because everything revolves around that. It brings to mind a winter cabin with snow, pines, and creamy Christmas desserts. It’s just like Vanille Supermassive, but way less sweet.
