Descripción
Essencial Feminino by Natura is a floral chypre fragrance for women. Launched in 1995, this composition was created by Verônica Kato, Verônica Casanova, and Marion Costero. The top notes unfold with mandarin, citrus, apple, and green notes; the heart reveals Egyptian jasmine, peach, tea rose, violet, and ginger; while the base notes land with amber, musk, cedar, caramel, and sandalwood.

A fruity and floral fragrance. You can notice a sweet touch as it settles on the skin. It’s perfect, elegant, and feminine. I recommend it for daytime use, in spring or even until autumn.

This EDP has been modified; it’s no longer the same as years ago, it was reformulated… yet it still retains something of the previous version, which had a delicious, harmonious tangerine and jasmine note, very similar to another Cartier perfume. What a pity they reformulate good perfumes. Although due to costs and new restrictions on specific essences, many fragrances will continue to be modified… what a pity. This current EDP is best for sunny, spring days; the current version is even more subtle, but elegant nonetheless.

The old version was delicious. Just imagining that intense crisp touch on a lady’s neck makes me think of a queen, delicate and dominant. The reformulation is very low quality.
Regarding what juanu_8 said, I tried it for the first time two years ago and remember it smelled similar to Pure Poison: a sparkling, energetic white floral. Years later, I sought out the exclusive floral version and hated it, so I assumed this was the classic. When I tried it, it wasn’t what I remembered, but I fell in love immediately. I don’t know if they reformulated it, but it’s definitely not what I had in mind (I’ll ask a friend who sells naturals). It remains a white floral but is fruitier. For me, the quality isn’t bad at all; it lasts forever on my skin and evolves very pleasantly. One day my boyfriend said it smelled like the pear wine his grandmother made, which he doesn’t like. It doesn’t smell like real pear, but it has a warm, ripe fruit opening that releases sweet juices; it’s quite intoxicating in that sense. I suppose it’s the apple. If there are citrus notes, to my taste they form a base layer that acts like a breeze contrasting with the sweet fruit and rising when smelled up close. The flowers that appear later are creamy white, a bit wild, mixed with woods that linger at the end. I read it has Egyptian jasmine (which Narciso Rodriguez also uses, if I’m not mistaken), and it’s definitely present: fresh, creamy, indolic, and carnal. I think the ginger oil adds a subtle dissonance that cuts the floral harmony, but I believe it contributes a moderate green note that keeps it from being fully floral or fully fruity. I adore the woody dry down, infused with floral vapors, and it stays with me for a long time. It’s one of the most comforting scents for me; it gives me a feeling of ‘everything will be okay’ like no other. That’s why I always return to it and already have a backup bottle. For me, it’s a very warm and cozy aroma that relaxes me. In summer, it felt a bit heavier than in other seasons; fresh air suits it best.
Regarding what juanu_8 said, I think I tried this two years ago, don’t remember which one exactly, only that it was an Essential. I remember it smelled similar to Pure Poison: a sparkling, energetic white floral. Years later, I tried the Exclusive Floral version and it wasn’t it (I hate it)… so I thought it must be the Classic. When I tried it, it wasn’t what I remembered, but I fell in love. I don’t know if they reformulated it; surely it’s not what I recall (I asked a friend who sold Natura products five years ago). It’s still a white floral but fruitier. For me, it’s not bad quality, it lasts forever, and evolves beautifully. One day my boyfriend said it smelled like pears in his grandmother’s wine, and he doesn’t like pears. It doesn’t smell like real pear, but rather warm, juicy ripe fruits. I find it intoxicating in that sense. I guess it’s the apple. If there are citrus notes, to my taste they act as a background layer like a breeze that contrasts the sweetness and lifts the scent. The flowers that appear later are creamy white, a bit wild, mixed with woods that linger at the end. I read it has Egyptian jasmine (also used by Narciso Rodriguez) and it’s present, fresh, creamy, a bit indolic and carnal. I think the ginger oil adds a very subtle dissonance that cuts the floral harmony, giving it a moderate green note so it’s neither fully floral nor fruity. I love the woods at the end, soaked in floral vapors, which stay with me for a long time. It’s one of the perfumes that comforts me most, giving me a ‘everything will be okay’ feeling. That’s why I always come back; I already have a refill bottle. For me, it’s warm and cozy, relaxing. In summer, it felt a bit heavy; it benefits from fresh air.
I’m a jasmine lover, ordered a sample, and it definitely smells like jasmine, but the citrus and lily blend don’t keep it delicate; they fuse together. It has good longevity like the rest of the line, the bottles are classic, and the Brazilian alcohol doesn’t give me a brain freeze—good quality, the substance doesn’t evaporate easily. Personally, I prefer the other two versions: Floral and Exclusive.
I just opened my backup to compare it with the original after a chat. My old review was for the 2014 Essential Classic 50ml made in Argentina: beautiful, total beauty. This backup is the 2014 Essential Classic 100ml made in Colombia (bought here): there’s a marked difference in intensity. The Argentine version is an atomic bomb, less floral, not powdery but creamy, rarer and more intense. The Colombian one has less ginger, smells more talcum-like, and the dry down lacks wood intensity. I suppose for some this is good because it makes it easier to wear. I was skeptical, but they have a point. What a shame; I’m going to cherish the remaining ml of the smaller bottle. PS: I love the Colombian version so much; I just need to reapply every 5-6 hours to feel it.
Reminds me a lot of Halloween Magic; I detect pear notes right at the opening.
I love its clean, floral-fruity scent; it’s perfect for enjoying without bothering anyone. The only downside is that it performs like an Eau de Toilette, so I save it for the gym. Rating: 8, Longevity: 5, Sillage: 4, Bottle: 9. I would buy it again, but honestly, I bought it blind and wouldn’t do that again given such poor performance.
I got this during the 2021 relaunch in Argentina and absolutely loved it. It’s a clean floral with a distinct pitanga touch that evokes that specific freshness. The base woods are very subtle. In my opinion, it’s perfect for spring-summer; it doesn’t shine on very cold days. Although Natura claims it’s intense, I find it soft, with good longevity (7 hours on my skin) but moderate projection at first, then it’s more about personal enjoyment. It’s a thank-you to many; it’s not invasive and ideal for the office.
Smells floral, fruity, and clean; very pleasant to enjoy without being overwhelming. Its downside is that it performs like an Eau de Toilette, so I’ll use it for the gym. Scent: 8, Longevity: 5, Sillage: 4, Packaging: 9. I’d buy it again even though I picked it blindly, but I wouldn’t recommend it due to its poor performance.
Smells rich; I’m not an expert, but if you love florals, you’ll like it. I agree with previous reviews, except that on my skin, this is the Essential that lasts the least—what a shame.
It’s super soft, lasts normally, has no projection on me, but I can still smell it. If you like calm, elegant perfumes that don’t overwhelm, this is for you; if you prefer something powerful, I don’t recommend it. It’s very feminine and rich, but the longevity really leaves a lot to be desired. I wouldn’t buy it again.
The classic Essentiel is a discreet, slightly sweet, pleasant, and feminine floral fragrance, but it projects almost nothing and has short longevity compared to its siblings. For me, it’s the most discreet and underperforming scent in the collection; that said, the aroma is delicious. Who will like it? Everyone, there’s no flaw.
One of the worst performances in perfumes, almost no sillage or longevity; on my skin it lasts a maximum of an hour and cost me about $33, so I don’t recommend it at all. I wouldn’t buy it again. It smells softly of tangerine and pear, but it’s so soft and fleeting that it’s not worth it. Very disappointed with this purchase.
One of the worst performances I’ve had with a perfume; almost no sillage or longevity. On my skin, it lasts about an hour max, and I paid around $33 for it, so I don’t recommend it at all. I wouldn’t buy it again. It smells faintly of mandarin and pear, but it’s so soft and fleeting that it’s not worth it. Very disappointed with this purchase.
I’ve been wearing this perfume as my everyday scent for years, and people know it’s my signature. On my skin, it feels very delicate and rich. However, for special occasions, I go with something else. The sillage is soft but noticeable, and it’s a comforting aroma for everyone. It’s elegant and very feminine. I think for anyone looking for a daily perfume, this is a good choice, though there are also more affordable options out there.
A delicate and feminine fragrance. In the top notes, it reminds me a bit of Givenchy’s Irresistible. On my skin, it doesn’t have a strong sillage, but it’s enough to stand out from the rest of the line. It’s an excellent choice for daily wear because it exudes elegance, even if the notes can’t quite match the power of the Essentiel Exclusif.
I bought it a few days ago, new batch. I liked the scent; it’s soft, sits right on the skin, and smells like just showered and clean. You can detect the citrus and fresh notes with a slight sweetness. It feels powdery, which is why people compare it to Irresistible. It’s elegant and clean, but it doesn’t project much. It lasts about 5 hours.
It smells good, but if Natura bottles it in Colombia, that means it will last a maximum of two hours. It’s annoying because a perfume should last between 8 and 12 hours; if it was bottled there, you’ve wasted your money and bought a cologne instead. It smells nice, but the longevity is outrageous. It reminds me of Dior Addict Eau de Toilette and Lataffa Musk Mood, what a pity it doesn’t last at all and costs almost 1000 Mexican pesos.
I think it’s a lovely scent, but I wish it performed better. It’s a shy fragrance with weak longevity and projection, unlike other products in the line like Essencial Exclusivo. It’s a clean, light, and gentle floral-fruity scent, very feminine. It’s a great choice if you dislike heavy perfumes and are looking for something fresh and discreet.
It fades in under two hours and sticks to the skin like glue 🤬 The smell is generic, like clean skin and flowers, with zero caramel. It’s ideal for hot weather if you can’t handle sweet scents. It’s the most classic in the line, giving off a vintage vibe. A friend who doesn’t know much about perfumes loved it, but for the price, it’s not worth it—I could get the same thing with a cheap body splash, yet this cost me $70. What a waste, since the bottle is pretty, but I threw my money away. Plus, that bitter note gives me a headache, just like with other floral notes I haven’t figured out yet. It feels like it’s missing juicy fruit and a touch of vanilla or amber to really shine.
I was blown away by how long it lasts and how soft the scent is; it’s super feminine 🥰✨
What a pleasant surprise regarding its longevity and softness! Very feminine 🥰✨
