Essencial Ato by Natura

Confirmed! I have a decant of Gucci Intense, and they smell very much alike. Excellent scent. It lasted 10 hrs on me. Too bad that in the end, in the drydown, the typical Natura balsamics remain (I don’t like them 100%). But anyway it’s excellent. I’m buying it

A fairly fresh and showy perfume with a loud and sparkling opening of orange, bergamot and aquatic notes which in its middle and base phase becomes a bit more spicy with pepper, and woody with sandalwood and cedar leaving more citrus notes for the herbal notes of vetiver. Good performance and with very well differentiated but very well balanced phases. (8/10)

I purchased the product and, in my opinion, it starts with a slightly sweet and dry opening, with an earthy note provided by paprioca accompanied by the creaminess of sandalwood. Later, the fragrance develops with a floral and powdery aroma given by pau-brasil flower, lily of the valley and jasmine. It is a different proposition from what Natura had been offering until now.

A perfume somewhat different from the rest of the line, very strong spiced opening like myrrh/oud, a slap in the nose, but then some strong flowers appear and it settles down and leaves a very interesting floral aroma, but very unisex. I don’t know if it’s a blind buy, I don’t regret the purchase because I made it at launch on super sale, at regular price I don’t know if I would buy it. Now that it’s very cold it’s not performing well for me, I think it’s more of a spring perfume, I’ll keep testing it more days.

It’s a perfume to put on and wait about 5 minutes to smell it, at first it seems very soft but when it dries down the magic appears, it reminds me of Fleur de Gaultier but in a calm and wearable version, it’s along those lines to give you an idea. It’s a very nice perfume, it smells really good and delicately of flowers without losing masculinity.

Whoever says it stands out from the Essencial line needs to train their nose more or doesn’t have the whole line. Yes it has notes that set it apart, but the Essencial DNA is there. A great perfume, it’s not my favorite or the one I like most, but it performs very well. The nuances of the floral and woody notes in balance, with projection right at the needed level, plus the Brazilian biodiversity notes that Natura works wonderfully well, make this perfume something truly unique and not more of the same – some people may interpret it as repetitive but the comparison will always be with Natura products and that’s because the raw materials are shared in Veronica Kato’s creations. Seriously, I always say it: the ingredients Natura works with are niche, even though you find Natura on every corner.

You’ll say it’s more of the same, but you won’t be able to link it to any perfume that exists today. What happens here is that it follows a commercial premise, which makes it easily enjoyable and gives you that feeling of having smelled it before at some point. Here we have a fresh perfume that manages to be a luminous, juicy, ambery and woody floral at the same time, it’s a versatile perfume that can be worn in the morning, except in the torrid summer climate of the northeast. I don’t know what magic Veronica has done with this perfume, but it’s phenomenal to the point that women like it and want to have it for personal use. Finally we have a true floral in the Essential line.

Great perfume. Personally I struggled to find an occasion to wear it and I think it’s because the problem is that it’s presented as a mainly woody perfume and its presentation suggests it’s elegant and almost nighttime. However I feel that citrus notes and pepper predominate a lot, second the floral notes and in the background the dark woody aspect (a smell like wet wood). This results in an ideal scent for daytime below 30°C. It clearly has a dark woods base that makes it not for extreme heat, but I’m wearing it quite a bit on warm fall days and I find it very fitting, at the risk of getting booed, I consider it almost a sport fragrance (it’s not sport, but maybe a sport beautified and made more complex by the woody and floral components).

Confirmed! The Gucci Intense decant is almost identical. Excellent aroma and it lasted 10 hours. The only downside is that when it dries, it leaves that typical Natura balsamic touch that doesn’t fully win me over, but it’s still a beast. I’m buying it.

Great fragrance. At first, I thought it was too woody and elegant for evening wear, but citrus and pepper actually dominate, followed by florals and a base of dark woods like wet wood. Ideal for days under 30°C. While that dark base isn’t great for extreme heat, I use it in autumn and it works perfectly. I’d almost call it a sport scent, but more complex and beautiful.

I find the citrus too prominent at the front, especially in the opening (and it lingers in the dry down), which makes it distinct from the rest of the Essencial line. Worth it if you can get it on sale; otherwise, I’d go with other options.

It’s an Essencial closer to Intense and Elixir than the oud ones; it’s spicy at first, then moves to sharp woods in the heart and dry down within a floral context. In short, it’s atypical compared to the line extensions, but seems like a sum of those two fragrances’ molecules plus ‘something extra.’ It’s not one of my favorites because I prefer classic compositions; I think the best in the line are Pepper and Palo Santo, which score a goal against Ato. Regardless, I think it will appeal to those seeking something contemporary. As always with Natura, the price-quality ratio is unbeatable and it doesn’t disappoint in longevity and sillage. PS: After two hours, I noticed it’s very complex, changing a lot from the start, and in the sillage I smell two distinct aromas, one close and one distant. It gives the impression that if Ato were sold under an exclusive brand for $200, there would be dozens of positive reviews on Fragrantica USA. This isn’t the first time I’ve seen this with Natura.

It comes out very spicy, like myrrh and oud—a strong hit—but then the flowers take over, settling into an interesting and very unisex floral aroma. I’m not sure I’d buy blind, but I have no regrets thanks to the super sale. At the regular price, I might think twice. Now that it’s cold, it doesn’t perform as well for me; I think it’s more of a spring scent. I’ll keep testing it.
