This scent has a super amber base, reminiscent of Acqua di Parma, but within seconds it shifts to mint with notes of cinnamon and pepper, plus a touch of rose that is absolutely enchanting. I didn’t expect this; it’s a perfect blend of Western perfumery and Oriental houses. It has great body, depth, and brilliance. It’s spectacular and leaves no one indifferent. The trail and projection are top-notch; it’s incredibly warm for cold weather due to its density, offering luxury quality and amazing refinement. I see it as unisex, leaning more towards men in their 30s. Ideal for formal or semi-formal occasions, cold afternoons, rainy days, or night outs; you’ll definitely leave a lasting olfactory mark. Scent: 9/10, Trail: 8.5/10, Projection: 9/10, Longevity: 8.5/10.
Enclave is simply a fantastic fragrance, the best from the house and an aroma that has it all. The blend of mint, cardamomo, and cinnamon is narcotic to my nose, with a very pleasant resinous and spicy base. Its evolution only balances the chords and doesn’t make anything of its opening charm disappear, which I appreciate. Landberk70 already said it all, and I just complement that I also find it very luminous and warm; it gives a cozy vibe and I think in temperate to cold climates it’s a distinctive aroma to leave a unique mark, so the olfactory memory part seems accurate. Good performance, perfectly unisex and to enjoy for a lifetime; I really love Enclave. Rating: 10/10.
Amouage Enclave is a beast, the best from the house, and it has everything. The mix of mint, cardamom, and cinnamon is narcotic to my nose, with a very pleasant resinous and spicy base. Its evolution perfectly balances the accords without taking away from the initial charm, which I absolutely love. As Landberk70 said, it’s very luminous and warm, giving off a super cozy vibe. I think in temperate or cold climates, it’s a distinctive aroma to make a statement, so the olfactory memory claim is spot on. Great performance overall, perfect for unisex wear and something to enjoy for a lifetime. Frankly, I love Enclave. Rating: 10/10.
What a delicious fragrance, though I won’t declare it outright, it carries oud, as expected from the house. The mint and cardamom are very distinctive, creating a fresh oud that I find brutal; others are usually warm and for winter, but this is light enough for all year, though still potent and persistent. The best part is that the mix holds up through the middle, leaving residual oud at the end, unlike others where the main note disappears quickly. It vaguely reminds me of Versace Eros, but swapping vanilla for oud; a curious coincidence. It has narcotized me; I haven’t stopped smelling it all day, what a delight. I’ve already grabbed a decant to see if it works for me; if it does, I’m buying the full bottle.
What a delicate fragrance. Although not listed, it carries oud, as expected from the house thanks to the mint and cardamomo, which are very distinguished. It’s a fresh oud, a brilliant concept since ouds are usually warm and heavy, very winter-like. Although I don’t see it for the beach, it’s light and fresh enough to wear all year round. It’s quite potent; it doesn’t leave. Something very much to be appreciated is that with ouds, at first you have oud + something, then only the oud remains; here, no, the mix holds up throughout the middle, leaving only residual oud at the very end. It vaguely reminds me of Versace Eros: swap the vanilla for oud and you have something very similar. It has narcotized me; I couldn’t stop smelling it all day, what a delight. I grabbed a decant to see if it’s wearable for me; if it is, I’m getting the full bottle.
A disappointment. At first, it’s original and attractive with mint, cardamomo, and cinnamon as the stars. But afterwards, those notes fade, leaving a generic Amouage aroma, perhaps with a bit of labdanum. I just compared it with Boundless, and indeed, after an hour, the scent is quite similar, although Boundless does keep that tobacco and red orange.
Interesting aroma but doesn’t seduce me much. It opens mentholated, very aromatic, I’d say medicinal. Spices are detectable. What could be attractive at first, as it dries, settles into a generic scent. Yes, it’s noticeable as deep and dark. But in my understanding, the longest-lasting part tells me little. Also, in the heart, I perceive a juicy cherry, but it’s a fleeting nuance. It seems like an unfinished fragrance. It starts well but then, nothing. That said, it lasts a long time. I can still smell it beyond 10 hours.
A very changing fragrance. It opens with a light mint that didn’t say much to me, but as it dries, it smells very elegant. In the dry-down, there’s a light incense, cinnamon, patchouli, and I think woods, although they aren’t listed. Good perfume. Longevity is high, over 12 hours, and the trail is good; if you ask people as you pass by. Overall, a good perfume. High price, like all from the house. Rating 8.5-10.
It smells different as the hours pass. It starts with a soft touch of mint that isn’t too much, but as it dries down, it shines with elegance. In the base, you get incense, cinnamon, patchouli, and woods that aren’t listed. It’s a good perfume. It lasts a long time, more than 12 hours, and leaves a trail if you ask for it. Overall, very good. High price, as is typical for the brand. Rating: 8.5-10.
Enclave is smoked mint. It’s the main accord from the opening to the final dry-down. It starts with mint sprinkled with spices that confirm its oriental character: pepper, cinnamon, and cardamomo along with the mint create an anise-like illusion. Then the incense and resinous notes hold the mint, giving it a smoked character, a bit dark but not too much, designed for daytime. In the development, the woody base becomes more noticeable; light leather and amber add body and depth to the mint. It’s very long-lasting and potent (12 hours perfectly). If you over-spray, it can become overwhelming; at first it doesn’t seem strong, but it builds up quickly, and if you overdo it, it’s too late, so it’s better to wait a few minutes before being light with the spray. The downside: on clothes, it lasts too long and is sticky (even after washing, it still smells), and after 24 hours, it leaves a weird vanillic dry-down, probably due to some synthetic molecule I don’t like. But with care not to apply on clothes, I can’t find anything else wrong. In summary, it’s a fantastic smoked mint signature fragrance from Amouage.
Amouage Enclave smells like smoked mint. That’s the main accord from the opening all the way to the dry down. It starts with spearmint sprinkled with spices that confirm its Oriental character: pepper, cinnamon, and cardamom alongside the mint create an anise-like illusion. Then the incense and resinous notes hold the mint, giving it a smoky, dark touch, but not too much; in my opinion, it’s for daytime. As it develops, the woody base becomes clearer (light leather and amber that add body and depth). It’s very long-lasting and potent (12 hours is perfect), but if you over-spray, it becomes overwhelming; it doesn’t seem strong at first but builds up quickly, so if you overdid it, wait a few minutes before spraying more. The downside is that it sticks too much to clothes; it’s sticky (even after washing, it still smells), and at 24 hours, it leaves a weird vanilla dry-down, likely due to a synthetic molecule I don’t like. But if you take care not to spray it on clothes, I can’t find any other flaws. In short, it’s a fantastic smoked mint fragrance with the signature Amouage house mark.
I’m a millionaire and don’t need anything else. What is Enclave? It’s a classic mansion covered in ivy, with a lush, wet garden behind it after the rain, at dusk. It’s on a hill, with stones and wild bushes, where a stream passes. We feel like walking knowing we have everything, enjoying nature with a good stack of bills and an expensive jacket. Enclave screams Amouage; it has its stamp. The mint gives it a fresh, realistic touch; vetiver and patchouli add the vintage and earthy vibe, while the incense adds sophistication, luxury, and mystery, with the delicacy of rose in the background. The opening is sparkling and ozonic, like a breeze on a cold day. Then we light the fireplace and warm up. The blend reminds me of licorice. Daily use? Yes, perfectly. Like most Amouage, it evokes someone from an office or bank. It clings well to the skin; what lasts the longest is the earthy part and the dark incense, very velvety. Projection isn’t bad, and you don’t need to overuse it. Performance is correct. For the price, I expected better longevity.
Smells very similar to Xerjoff 40 Knots; I’ll keep testing it, but it follows that line.
A total pleasant surprise. I’m not a fan of mint notes; if I want mint, I’ll eat a piece of gum, but this is something else, friends. A true marvel. Here, the mint is perfectly crafted: it doesn’t smell like a mojito or gum; it’s a masterpiece. If you like the note, don’t think twice, dive in. If not, give it a chance; it’s worth it. It’s a spicy opening with cardamomo, the star is the mint, a heart of incense in just the right measure to add depth and solemnity, and a dry, earthy dry-down with vetiver and patchouli. It’s almost medicinal. Exquisite.
A pleasant surprise. I’m not a mint person… if I want mint, I’ll eat a piece of gum. BUT this is something else, friends. It’s a mint masterpiece. It’s very well crafted; it doesn’t smell like mojito or gum. It’s a work of art. If you like the note, don’t think twice, buy it. If you don’t, give it a chance. It’s worth it. It starts spicy with cardamom and the star is the mint; the heart has incense in just the right measure to add depth, and the dry down is dry and earthy with vetiver and patchouli. It’s almost medicinal. Exquisite.
A versatile Amouage fragrance that truly wins you over with time. At first, in decant, I thought it was just a decent menthol without soul, but after the second test, that mint (more toothpaste-like than in Beach Hut Man) hooked me. It’s a brutal signature scent with character and sophistication that doesn’t overwhelm. It’s not just mint; the combination with frankincense (very wearable here), patchouli, vetiver, and rose is magical. The leather note is barely noticeable, very subtle. It’s one of those perfumes where the more you wear it, the more nuances you discover; from basic to complex. It conveys elegance and presence without giving too much. Due to its density with the incense, I see it as ideal below 18 degrees. Lasts a long time, between 10 and 12 hours, present but without dominating the environment. That balance between presence and discretion is what fascinates me most. Absolutely recommended. I give it an 8.5.
