Delicious! I’m absolutely thrilled by its freshness. I can’t believe it only has three notes: grapefruit, orange, and rose. It shares a lot with Dior Homme Sport (2008) thanks to the grapefruit, but this Les Colognes Hermes Eau de Pamplemousse Rose is much wilder, simpler, and rawer. You should also count in the Petit Grain, those citrus leaves. You can smell the rose, but it’s not the star. It’s ideal for a trip to the Caribbean islands, dressed in white and khaki, wearing bermudas, sipping a tropical cocktail, and strolling through port streets and boulevards (well, anyone who’s been to those islands knows what I mean). For guys over 35. It could be unisex, though I feel it’s more masculine. In short: it’s a wild citrus. If you don’t like it, move on; if you do, you’ll love it. Exquisite to the superlative degree. A good salesperson would say: if you smell it, you’ve already bought it. hehe

At first, it smells intense: citrus and bitter, like with the rind and all included. For my taste, it’s too much. The dry down is its most ‘masculine’ moment, but after 20 minutes, ‘by magic,’ it takes on the character of Hermes fragrances and calms down. It becomes a soft scent, like white roses, where you can even smell the stems, something green and dry. Yes, it’s curious. It doesn’t seem Caribbean or tropical at all; on the contrary, it’s very temperate. Ideal for lovers of citrus after a good shower.

I think it’s a good perfume for summer. But could someone tell me how the fixation, longevity, and projection are? Thanks a lot.

  • Hi Juancar7777. This perfume has low projection and longevity; it doesn’t have much strength, but it’s good. Just that for an Hermes price, one expects more. It lasts with medium projection (about 2 meters) for less than 3 hours and then stays almost skin-scented.

It’s pure grapefruit, just like its name suggests. Imagine being inside a giant pomelo: bitter, sour, and super refreshing. Everything is great until… poof! The trail disappears and it clings to the skin for only about 3 hours, very close to the skin. At first, the cloud is short. Why, Hermes? Why does something so good last so little if it’s so expensive?

  • Exquisite to the soul! What a pity it fades so quickly; it’s super intimate and only lasts about an hour and a half. After that, it just lives in your imagination. It’s pricey and, in my opinion, doesn’t justify the cost, though it remains beautiful.

  • Another Hermes fragrance that qualifies as a cologne for me. It’s a very refreshing scent that I love. Pure grapefruit with a touch of roses is what I can identify. Unfortunately, its longevity and sillage are very short for its high price. In my opinion, it’s a more masculine, summer, and daytime scent. Worth trying (and buying) if you can.

  • Another Hermès fragrance that, for me, is a cologne. It smells very refreshing and I love it. It’s pure grapefruit with a touch of roses. Unfortunately, the longevity and sillage are very short for its high price. In my opinion, it’s more of a masculine, summer, daytime scent. Worth trying and buying if you can.

  • Review of the Concentrée version in EDT format. It’s a classic, very refreshing, and well-made cologne despite its simplicity. The grapefruit feels very natural and realistic, which is hard to find these days. It opens with standout citrus highlighting the grapefruit, then blends with a less noticeable rose. It’s pleasant, although it perhaps suffers from excessive simplicity. Decent price, and thanks to Hermès for moving away from current trends. It lasted quite well for me (more than 6 hours) when applied heavily and on clothes, but the sillage always stays stuck to the skin, hard to smell from a distance.

  • This is the CONCENTRÉE version of PAMPLEMOUSSE ROSE by HERMÈS. It encapsulates the beauty of simplicity: a sour, green, squeezable grapefruit with Mediterranean acidity and zest. It’s a grapefruit sun over a blue sky. It stays consistent all day with almost no sillage. You need to overapply a lot for others to notice it, and that’s the point of the concentrée! The downside is that while the quality is high, the performance is absurd for the price. They are beautiful but ephemeral fragrances. I don’t detect the rose, just a vetiver that blends with the grapefruit as it dries. SCENT: beautiful but ephemeral / SILLAGE: low / LONGEVITY: medium-low / USE: versatile but requires overapplication.

  • Hermès’ orchard elevates the game with fruity and vegetable formulas that are beautiful, potent, and direct. They bring the zesty freshness of a juicy, vitamin-packed grapefruit waiting to be bitten into. The florals are merely there to decorate and enhance the grapefruit. That clean, minimalist, conceptual balance that Ellena handles so well is present in all these formulas—always sharp and clear. There’s no doubt about which fruit, spice, or vegetable takes center stage. While they are highly naturalistic, they are equally beautiful and ideal. These formulas leave no middle ground: either you understand and love them, or you don’t. Minimalist scents by Ellena. Edit: Perfect for layering with other perfumes or for playing around like a perfumer.

  • Hermès’s garden is improving with beautiful, literal fruit and vegetable formulas. This grapefruit gives a zesty freshness, full of juice, with flowers just for decoration. That clean, minimalist balance from Ellena is here: sharp and clear. You either love it or you don’t. They are minimalist, beautiful, and ideal. Edit: perfect for playing with layers and being a perfumer.

I tried a decant and liked it, but the opening smells like citronella or mosquito repellent 🥴.

  • Perla Vencis

Basically citrusy, a lovely blend of grapefruit and orange with undeclared green notes. Perfect for spring and summer, it leaves you feeling clean and fresh. Longevity and sillage are low, almost exclusively for personal enjoyment.

  • It doesn’t last long, but the citrus, green, and rose blend is incredibly realistic, like smelling citrus, grapefruit, and lemon with rose oil and stems. It’s relaxing, although the projection is low and it’s just for me. I hope for more heat to enjoy it to the fullest.

  • Ideal for summer, it’s citrusy and fresh, but the longevity is short for the price. Plus, it doesn’t stand out much; there are colognes for 10 euros that do a better job.

  • What can you say if it smells like nothing? It tastes like watery lemonade, very flat, and doesn’t last more than 2 hours. It’s only good for layering; it doesn’t even scent your clothes or room well. Use it to smell like something on a hot day or right after a shower—nobody will notice unless they press their nose right against you. Very high price for what it offers. 3/10.

  • What a beautiful scent, but watch out: this is a cologne, not an EDP. Don’t expect more than 2 or 3 hours of longevity; it’s meant to be enjoyed by you, not for everyone to smell. The quality is what counts, very much in the Hermès style. It smells of ultra-realistic grapefruit and roses, nothing synthetic like most fragrances these days. It’s pure beauty with that signature elegance only Hermès possesses.
