I bought this Christmas set at the local perfumerie. I’ve tried several from this house, and this one is on a second level. At first, Dodo smells like a birdcage or guano, very aggressive. Then it settles into a green, astringent, and fruity scent with fern, moss, and lychee. Finally, it becomes the most wearable part: very mossy, with an animal touch and geranium that makes it a vintage masculine fougère. It projects strongly for the first hour, then lingers in a medium cloud. It was an interesting artistic exercise, but I don’t like wearing it for daily life. Who wants to smell like bird poop? If you don’t notice the uric odor at the start, it could work for a serious man in mild weather, but I can’t see an occasion to wear it; it’s more for personal enjoyment. Pleasant: 4/10 Interesting: 7/10 Versatile: 3/10 Original: 7/10

It’s a fougère where lychee and ambergris dominate, without noticing the animal side others mention; it smells pleasant and simple, unisex with feminine touches due to the fruitiness. But as a niche perfume, the quality and originality aren’t up to the price; better to buy three designer perfumes. It’s the most disappointing launch from Zoologist.
