I absolutely loved trying this fragrance in its vintage cologne version—it’s elegant and refined. Diorling isn’t one of those harsh or brute leather scents that can be overwhelming; instead, it plays with floral notes, featuring a very sweet and penetrating rose and hyacinth. For a cologne, I’m surprised it doesn’t have a strong citrus opening; it goes straight into its floral-woody side. It’s interesting that in the first few seconds of application, I could smell something reminiscent of Miss Dior, but only for a moment (just enough to realize they share the same creative mind), because afterward, Diorling takes a completely different direction. It’s soft, delicate, and incredibly harmonious. I tested the Eau de Toilette about six years ago, and comparing them, I can say the moss and iris notes are a bit more intense, and the leather slightly more synthetic, but overall, they don’t differ much.
