  It lives up to its name, Colonia. Monegal creates a simple yet elegant fragrance that stands out from the typical EDT with a warm, woody depth. It reminds me of ‘Entre Naranjos’ but with less body. It starts very citrusy and bright, perfect for post-shower, with a wide range of citrus notes upfront. What sets it apart are those subtle blackcurrant notes and a base of sandalwood and patchouli that add warmth as it dries down. The longevity is acceptable; initially, the lemon and bergamota shine, before settling into a skin-scent from the base notes. You can definitely tell the quality of the ingredients. I’d define it as elegant and clean, something you can spray without overdoing it. Great price, totally worth it.
