Descripción

Chi by Tiziana Terenzi is a woody oriental fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2022, the nose behind this composition is Paolo Terenzi. The top notes unfold a sweet accord of caramel, coffee, milk, and almond. The heart reveals the depth of Cambodian oud, earthy notes, vanilla, truffle, and patchouli. The base settles on tonka bean, caramel, vanilla flower, Indian oud, and cyperus (nagarmota).

You have to say it’s a very noticeable oud perfume, slightly fecal, similar to LV’s Pur Oud but less intense. It opens with that oud, lacking earthy notes and feeling more green and wet. It’s sweet from the start, but the dry down turns into a resinous sweetness with petrolic bursts. Once dried, it’s very similar to Black Phantom, though Chi is much denser while Kilian feels toned down. The oud lingers in the base with a milky touch that gives a “little calf” vibe. Women can wear it, but if you prefer sweet over animalic, try Kilian first. It’s a beast: I applied it to my wrist and it lasted even after showering. Don’t overapply or you’ll get nauseous and smell like you fumigated the room. Moderately applied, it’s very elegant. Longevity is 20+ hours, with a powerful sillage for the first 3 hours before fading.

  • Homeostasis

My absolute #1 from Tiziana, without a doubt. It’s a very evolving perfume that intensifies and captivates. The dry down is notable with a top-tier Laos oud, hitting that animalic spot just right, which I love. Gradually it becomes more docile and a creaminess festival begins: that milky touch paired with coffee, caramel tones, and a clear reminiscence of Black Phantom. Yes, it reminds me of Kilian, but a deeper, creamier version. Wonderful and mysterious, Chi builds tolerance and is addictive. I’d rate the longevity as very good, not quite beast mode. Please try it.

My top 1 from Tiziana, without a doubt. A very evolving perfume that builds up and captivates. The opening is noticeable with a Laos oud in the front row, with just the right animal touch, which I like. Gradually, it becomes more docile and the creaminess festival begins: that milky touch alongside coffee, caramel tones, and a clear reminiscence of Black Phantom. Yes, it reminds me of Kilian, a deep and creamy version. Wonderful and mysterious, Chi builds tolerance and is addictive. I’d rate the longevity as very good, without being beast mode. Please try it.

  • A masterpiece. If you like perfumes like Black Phantom, you’ll love this; for me, it’s even better.

  • At this rate, we should call this house ‘Lattafian Terenzi.’ There are already too many references that border on copies. It tires me out that people look the other way when a luxury brand does it, but if Arab brands at competitive prices do it, they get called out. What’s the point of copying Black Phantom for four hundred euros? Isn’t uniqueness expected at that price? I still like the original Kilian more than this version, copy or not. Not to mention compared to the old batches of BP, which had nuclear longevity. I haven’t felt a very prominent oud; it’s sweeter and easier to like, just like its inspiration. Longevity on skin? Yes, I found it well above average. Everyone try it and decide, but let’s call things by their names.

  • Disgusting! For me, Chi has been a total fiasco. I like all its official notes, so I gave it a thousand chances on skin and paper, but every time I smell it, I get nauseous: it smells like vomit, feet, and a stable. It’s strange that it doesn’t list animalic accords, because the sensation is super acidic and rancid. It’s the first perfume that actually makes me gag, and it’s frustrating because I expected to enjoy it. In the end, it’s a matter of skin; everyone finds it divine, but for me, it’s unbearable.
