  • I saw a review and bought a decant; it didn’t disappoint. At first, you notice amber and oud, then vanilla and a powdery touch. The white chocolate and musk stand out; the citrus notes are only slightly noticeable, mainly the bergamot, which boosts the opening. I think it’s unisex, perfect for autumn and winter; on mild or cold days, it’s comforting. It lasts over 8 hours, projection around 3. I’ll have to buy the bottle.

  • Sarah Baker’s Loudo is a delight: a sweet oud that wins you over instantly, ideal for fans of chocolate-like oud and that ‘stinky’ note that many love. Christian Carbonell shows again why he loves this note, handling it with mastery and professionalism, which is rare given the price. It has character but is soft, with great staying power for those who don’t know oud; after the initial hit, comes the reward of enjoying it to the fullest. It opens with realistic cherry and bergamot, mixed with citrus florals where neroli stands out. It accompanies the chocolateed oud (I’m not sure if it’s white as Fragantica says, but the chocolate is definitely felt). The oud is milky, with cheese-like reminiscences typical of Laos oud, nothing humid or mineral. As it dries, it keeps the cherry but the milky oud takes the spotlight, with amber and vanilla keeping it sweet and woody. The oud is perfectly blended; Carbonell leaves his signature, ideal for connoisseurs but also for newcomers. Hours later, it’s still delicious: chocolateed wood with amber, cozy. Unisex, sometimes more feminine; perfect for cold weather, ideal in spring. Lasts over 8 hours, projection of about 2 hours at max, strong sillage but not excessive. High price for few milliliters, but worth it for the Laos oud. Recommended for those seeking original, high-quality oud. Incredible performance and excellent proposition.

  • If you like oud in its animal and slightly dirty version, this is LOUDO: it opens intense but then turns sweet and definitive, super unisex although it works better on men. On my skin, it lasted about 4 hours, but I admit it’s a very special scent.

I was blown away by Loudo. Every time I try it, I fall in love more, especially with how it handles Laos Oud: an exquisite mix of humidity, animalic notes, and wood, distinct from the usual. The oud comes out strong, and behind it, the sweet and gourmand notes create a magical transformation from an intense opening to an intriguing amber and vanilla dry down. If you like oud, you must have it. If you’re a beginner in niche perfumes, better to skip it. If you want a more wearable Laos oud, try Sarah Baker Gold Spot or Symmetry.

  • Nothing like what I’ve ever smelled. It opens very animalic with cherry, florals, and oud. After 10 minutes, that ‘dirty’ note fades and the woods blend with vanilla and chocolate without being cloying. The oud gives it a spicy character, it has great sillage and lasts about 8 hours. It’s incredible and multifaceted; by the end it almost disappears, leaving a spicy touch like cumin. Unlike Gold Spot, I don’t notice the ‘fecal’ side of the oud here, which is why I prefer it. It’s not for everyone, but it’s a delicious option for those looking for something challenging.

  • Nothing like what I’ve smelled. It opens animalic with cherry, florals, and oud. After 10 minutes, that ‘dirty’ and ‘stinky’ note fades. The woods blend with vanilla and chocolate; it’s not cloying. The oud gives it a ‘spicy’ character. Good sillage and it lasts a long time, about 8 hours. Incredible, with several facets; by the end it almost disappears, smelling of spices like cumin. Unlike ‘Gold Spot’, I don’t notice the ‘fecal’ side of the oud here, which is why I like it more. It’s not for everyone, but it’s a good option for those who want to try challenging and delicious compositions.

I bought the Atlante bottle and received a Loudo decant. Although it’s not my style, it’s very particular. Animalic, opaque opening, almost like burnt wood. The peculiar part comes after an hour: it becomes pleasant, creamy (vanilla), with positive woods and a tasty musky dry down. If you love woody scents, give it a try. Minus points: I didn’t smell any cherry; it’s mature and serious, not playful. Cold climates or cool spring/summer nights with caution. Unisex but leans masculine; ideal for those over 30-35. Interesting, but I still prefer Atlante.

  • When I bought Atlante, they gave me a decant of Loudo. Although it’s not my style, it’s very particular: an animalic, dark opening with burnt wood. An hour later, it changes radically, becoming creamy thanks to the vanilla and woods, with a delicious musky dry down. If you like woody scents, give it a try. The downside: I don’t smell any cherry; it’s serious and mature, nothing playful. Use it carefully in warm climates; it’s unisex but leans masculine, ideal for those over 30-35. Interesting, but I still prefer Atlante.

  • Symmetry => Loudo => Gold Spot. Symmetry launched first, a cologne with oud that’s very fresh yet layered with that Laos oud note for depth and sophistication. Then came Loudo, similar but with more oud and white chocolate/vanilla. Cherry isn’t present in either. I feel like this one actually takes a quality and aromatic composition leap. You can hear the Symmetry base but with that gourmand twist. Next is Gold Spot, though I think it only swaps the chocolate (to dark) and adds butterscotch; it’s much sweeter than Loudo. In my opinion, owning all three is redundant, so you need to know what you prefer: stick with Symmetry if you hate gourmand, go for Gold Spot if you love it, or choose Loudo if you want the middle ground of an oud, animalic, fresh scent with a sweet touch.

  • Symmetry was the first one: a fresh cologne with Laos oud that gives it depth. Then came Loudo, same base but with more oud and a touch of white chocolate and vanilla gourmand; the cherry isn’t noticeable. Gold Spot follows the same line but swaps the chocolate for dark chocolate and butterscotch, making it much sweeter. In short, all three are very similar: choose Symmetry if you hate sweetness, Gold Spot if you love it, or Loudo if you’re looking for that middle ground between oud, animalic notes, and a hint of sweetness.
