Have you worn Cadenza?

Tell us how it opens, how it settles on your skin, how long it lasts and when you wear it.

  1. I love the opening—it’s very elegant and projects well at first, but the dry-down is the opposite: it smells cheap. With its white notes, it seems aimed at a female audience, ideal for dates or daytime wear. If they fixed the dry-down, it’d be a 10; as it stands, it’s a 7.

  2. I love the opening—it’s very elegant and projects strongly in the first few hours; it’s super pleasant to wear. The only flaw is that once it dries down, everything changes and it feels cheap. With its white notes, it leans toward a more feminine audience, perfect for dates or daytime/evening outings. If they fixed the dry-down, it’d be a 10; as it stands, it’s a 7/10.

  3. Sospiro is back under Provenzano, the copy king. Cadenza is a simple blend, like mixing Le Male with white flowers. If it had stayed that way, it would have been common but enjoyable. Instead, they loaded it with tons of cheap white musk to boost longevity. Criiiiiiiistian, don’t do that. In the end, it smells like sweaty, waterless teenage musk—the most vulgar thing out there. I’d rather it lasted less than smell like that. The final phase is a disaster, comparable to the Barça’s mediocre midfield. I’m going to sell or gift Cadenza because I hate that smell. Watch out: I’m a musk fan, but not of this kind. I like the musk in Bois Primitif, Musc Ravageur, or Khabib—sweet and amber—not the one that smells like a cheap fish tank. That three-euro musk kids use when starting cologne, flooding rooms with puberty vibes. The worst part is adults wear it thinking it smells good. Tiziana Terenzi and her many brands often use this musk and then call themselves niche. Sospiro is back, but it’ll return to obscurity unless it improves. I also own Contralto, another graceless cheap copy of Bal d’Afrique. If they want to sell at those prices, they should put in more effort and stop pretending to be the new Boadicea. Since they signed Provenzano, you know where this is going. For now, I’m passing on the rest. Not my cup of tea.

  4. Sospiro is back with Provenzano, the copy expert. Cadenza is a simple mix of Le Male and white flowers; if it had stayed that way, it would have been a common but nice scent. Instead, they stuffed it with kilos of cheap white musk to boost longevity. In the end, it smells like sweaty, waterless teenage musk—the most vulgar thing around. I’d prefer it lasted less than smelled like that. It’s a catastrophe, worse than the Barça’s average midfield. I’m going to gift it because I hate that cheap fish tank smell. The worst part is adults wear it thinking it smells good. House Tiziana Terenzi and its many brands often use this musk and then claim to be niche. Sospiro is back, but it’ll fall if it doesn’t improve. I also own Contralto, another graceless cheap copy of Bal d’Afrique. If they want to sell at those prices, they should try harder. With Provenzano leading, you know where the brand is headed. For now, I’m skipping the rest. Not for me.
