Smells amazing, for real. I’ve tried several from Alexandria with the 7x5ml sample set, and this one totally deserves the full bottle. Projects for about 3 hours, then clings to the skin for another 4 or 5. The evolution is great: starts as a fruity, citrusy, creamy oud that’s super wearable. Gradually, white florals emerge, reminding me of Nasomatto’s Pardon, but more like its sibling ‘No Apologies’—though Burj Khalifa feels sweeter, more floral, and fruitier than the other. Very unisex, especially in the top and heart, but dries down to a more masculine vibe; nothing that stops a confident woman from wearing it. Bottom line: an interesting scent with a ‘very niche’ aura, smells expensive, elegant, and intriguing. I love that Alexandrias perform better than designer frags; they never smell cheap and their dry-down is stoic. It’s made me want to try Roja’s Amber Ooud to see how similar they are.

Reminded me of Nasomatto’s Pardon, but more like its sibling ‘No Apologies’—though Burj Khalifa leans much sweeter, more floral, and fruitier than the other. Very unisex, especially in the top and heart, but dries down to a more masculine note without being off-limits for a confident woman. In short, an interesting scent with a ‘very niche’ aura, smells expensive, elegant, and intriguing. I love that the Alexandrias I’ve tried perform better than designer frags; they never smell cheap and their dry-down is stoic. It’s sparked my curiosity to try the pricey Roja Amber Ooud to see how similar they are.
The funniest thing is that neither rose nor oud appears in the notes list, yet it smells of rose, rose, and rose; the oud tries to make an appearance but fails completely. If you love rose, congratulations, because here it reigns with heavy, authoritative force. For my nose, it’s annoying, and for my girlfriend, it was an unbearable ordeal. If they say it’s an imitation of Roja Dove Amber Oud, that makes sense, since rose is the main note in that fragrance. And watch out, this ‘unisex’ label is a lie—it’s overwhelmingly feminine.
