I grabbed this dirt cheap during Victoria’s Secret sales. If you’re a Victoria’s Secret fan, check out their website; they occasionally drop limited-edition gems at insane prices. This is one of them. At first, it smells a lot like the original Bombshell, which, ignoring the snobbery, is a total winner. Fresh, youthful, and different. Plus, it’s not overused in the US, so you get that surprise factor of ‘What are you wearing?’ When it dries down, it shifts to something sweet, warm, and incredibly pleasant. A sugary vanilla that makes you want to keep smelling your wrist all day. The woods add depth without losing that clean touch. It’s a crowd-pleaser that doesn’t overwhelm, perfect for all seasons despite being a winter scent. Ideal for the office or a night out. The bottle is gorgeous, with that shiny gold that really catches the eye. I’m glad to be the first to review it, and I hope it’s not just a winter thing because I think it’s the most beautiful one of all.
I’ve moved on from Victoria’s Secret due to their fast-fashion approach to perfumes, but I still love their fragrances. I really appreciate that they credit the creator here, Gil Clavien. It’s cheerful, carefree, and a true chameleon for any occasion. Starts with an acidic lychee, moves into sweet vanilla, and settles on a soft woody base. The peony is very subtle, almost imperceptible. The sillage is moderate, but the longevity is a beast—easily over 10 hours. Worth it if you catch it on sale, because prices go crazy during the season. Scent 7/10, longevity 10/10, sillage 7/10, value 7/10, versatility 8.5/10, packaging 8/10. Would I buy it again? Not from the brand, but yes, if I find it secondhand.
