  Artisan Acqua is an atypical marine scent with a saline effect like mentholated spa salts. Add citrus and resins edged with florals, and you get something sui generis; the ‘Aqua’ designation is quite novel for this brand. It has moderate projection and maintains beautiful awakenings based on body heat, creating pleasant and unconventional auras. It’s geared toward warmth, with a discreet, virile, and refined personality. It doesn’t diminish CoolWater, but it’s lightyears ahead of that brand’s worn-out aquatic proposals, which achieve what this does with refinement. In short, it doesn’t resemble anything inside or outside the aquatic segment.

  Artisan Acqua has an exquisite opening with fir and basil: it’s a herbal, liquor-like scent, not aquatic. It’s modern if you’ve tried classics like Cool Water or Acqua di Giò Profumo; this one is more evolved. It has moderate longevity and projection around 4 hours, but the scent is so special that it’s a joy to wear. Still niche, so we’ll wait a bit.

  Starts very marine, reminiscent of CoolWater but more updated. After 30 minutes, it turns green, bitter, and almost woody. It has a high-quality laundry softener vibe. The longevity is disappointing; there’s barely any trail, and it’s gone after 4 hours. It smells good on the skin, but it’s not my style, and I don’t see it worth the price.

  Spectacular, fresh, and a modernized vintage scent—very aromatic and not aquatic at all, except for that subtle marine touch.
