The fruity sweetness fades quickly, leaving a floral-woody trail that’s slightly sweet but not cloying for 90% of the fragrance’s life. You can definitely smell the heart notes. It’s not a standout scent (nothing groundbreaking), but it’s elegant. Works for day and night, though not in the heat. Projection is average on Varvatos, but longevity is good and the price is reasonable. Forget the typical leather vibe from this designer; this is the sweetest Varvatos I’ve ever smelled.
Balanced apple with cardamom, a good perfume in the Boss fruity-sweet style, solid performer.
Balanced apple with cardamom, a solid fragrance in the Boss lineup thanks to that fruity sweetness. It does the job.
Very generic, synthetic, and overused in designer men’s perfumery: a mix of cloying sweetness, cardamom, soft florals, and a tobacco-woody base with sandalwood. Smells like a blend of CK Eternity Parfum and Ferragamo EDT, reminiscent of the classic 1993 Chanel Egoiste Platinum, with that signature caramelized apple top note typical of Hugo Boss. The bottle with its dangling silver medallion feels tacky and overly baroque. Performance is short and cheap, like other Varvatos scents. Longevity: 4 hours, then it’s gone. Sillage is weak at 30 cm. Projects for 30 minutes before settling close to the skin. A woman could wear it too. Works better in moderate heat; quite versatile. Perfect for dates: spray it half an hour before and shine like Richard Gere in Pretty Woman. But it falls flat in pubs or clubs—any Paco Rabanne beats it. If you’re a fan, a collector, and catch it for under $50, go for it. Don’t pay more, there are better options out there.

The bottle with its dangling silver medallion is kitsch—too cheesy and baroque. Performance is short and cheap, like other Varvatos fragrances. Longevity: 4 hours, period. Sillage is weak, about 30 cm. Projects for 30 minutes before staying close to the skin. It would actually work well on a woman too. Less ideal in extreme heat, but has decent versatility. Sweet and fruity fragrance with woody and coffee notes… I loved it and bought it without a second thought.
