Have you worn Ambre?

Tell us how it opens, how it settles on your skin, how long it lasts and when you wear it.

  1. I agree with the retro vibe of the previous one; it even reminded me of Shalimar. I had stomach issues yesterday, so smells bother me more, which might bias my opinion. It has great presence and incredible longevity, but aside from the resinous side, it smells like clover or cloves—that old-fashioned eugenol note that I usually don’t like. It’s not a modern amber; it’s decent, but I can’t see myself wearing it.

It’s a talcum-powdered, retro amber without being outdated. From the start, you get resinous notes with a powdery touch and vanilla. There’s also a subtle animal nuance, nothing exaggerated, that gives it that retro air. Gradually it becomes creamy and sweet, without being cloying, while keeping that powdery sensation. It doesn’t evolve much; it’s linear but of excellent quality. Performance is good; a few sprays last for hours. It’s totally unisex, suits both men and women well. I wore it in the heat without issues, though it’s better suited for cool or mild weather. I really liked it. It’s not your typical amber; it smells great and feels like a high-end fragrance. The only downside: the price.

  3. This is baby powder for adults: delicious, soapy, and creamy, yet still powdery, with no flaws. A rare scent these days, perhaps old-fashioned, but undeniably delicious. This house has something in their fragrances that draws you in, more than just a simple logo—maybe a new style. I don’t know, all I know is that I love it.
