  I tested it with a small sample, but it made an impression. Even though it’s called Musc, what stands out most is the heliotrope, giving that typical powdery vibe. It’s very powdery, with a touch of tonka bean to sweeten it and a hint of rose. The musk is there, but it doesn’t smell like pure musk. Good longevity and projection. I see it more as a women’s fragrance, due to that powdery character, and especially for evening wear.

  Smells of powerful musk, strong heliotrope, and a pale rose. The neroli opening is short-lived, then undeclared aldehydes kick in, giving a soapy, clean, slightly waxy effect. Combined with the musk and heliotrope, it creates an almond-like, dense, and creamy sensation—very enveloping and complex. Longevity and sillage are excellent; it evolves semi-linearly. Surprisingly, it sounds more retro to me than Musc and Rose Etoile, even though Musc isn’t one of my favorites. Rating: 6.5.

  It takes me back to when I was 12, spending summers with my grandparents in an Andalusian village; it smells like that jar my grandmother kept in a drawer, though I can’t remember the name. It’s very intense at first, musky with lots of heliotrope and tonka bean, fairly linear but it sweetens as it dries. I’m glad I don’t notice the soapy rose, although I’m sure it’s there. I wouldn’t dare wear it myself, but I loved it and might buy it someday.
