Sometimes you can find it hidden in neighborhood perfumeries, and the best part is it costs a fortune. The bottle looks cheap, but the scent has nothing to envy. Although the name suggests amber, it’s floral, sweet, and elegant. The evolution is slow, but then it explodes with a powdery, sweet iris that recalls Dior Homme Intense and Valentino Uomo: elegant like the first and hazelnutty like the second. It creates a perfect blend. Being sweeter, it’s more unisex than its inspirations. If you like those fragrances, this is a must. It lasts about 8 hours with good initial projection and moderate projection afterward. Excellent performance for the price. I see it as ideal for cool climates and elegant nights, though it works for daytime too. Highly recommended if you’re on a tight budget.
A brutal alternative to Dior Homme Intense from 2011 at a ridiculous price, with better performance than Valentino Uomo. It’s sweeter than DHI but lasts 10 to 12 hours for just 15€.
An excellent alternative to the 2011 Dior Homme Intense at a ridiculous price, with better performance than Valentino Uomo. It’s a sweeter version of DHI but with surprising longevity: 10 to 12 hours for just 15€.
As an iris lover, if its performance were a bit brighter, especially in projection, it would be my favorite among all my iris fragrances (just above Agar Wood by Dunhill, where iris isn’t the main note). It has the sweetest, creamiest iris I’ve ever smelled, like it’s bathed in butter. Slightly citrusy at first, it evolves linearly but exquisitely into a vanilla-infused, ‘edible’ iris all the way through. Beautiful. It’s so unisex that my 15-year-old daughter loves it (she steals it from me!).
Be careful when buying: the current formula lasts less than 2 hours; they’ve drastically reduced the potency. The scent itself is extraordinary—I paid 14€, and if they told me it cost 60€, I’d believe them. Very similar to DH and Valentino Uomo, and better than Zara 9.0 for a similar price.
Creamy iris and very pleasant. The vanilla and citrus give it a soft, almost pasty texture. Projection is discreet, but the longevity is good (in my bottle). After five hours, when I move, soft bursts still come out. Up close, it smells rich and sensual, especially as it dries down. At the end, you can detect a touch of leather. I think it leans unisex. I haven’t tried the original Dior or Valentino, but the iris reminds me of something from a Givenchy gentleman scent. Honestly, at 15€ for 100ml, it’s practically a steal (or what famous brands charge us these days 😅). If you like iris, don’t hesitate. PS: The cap doesn’t hold the bottle well; it’s made of quite heavy glass.

Better than Zara 9.0, which I love so much. I haven’t tried the original DIH or Valentino Uomo. It’s an excellent fragrance for its performance and price—under $25. The iris is very well done and lasts over 6 hours on skin with a single application. It’s a shame the brand dissolved in 2020; it’s hard to get online. On eBay, one seller had 55 units and another had 100; two days later everything was sold out. Someone is definitely inflating prices or refilling Dior and Valentino bottles with this. What a pity that such a great fragrance is so hard to find in 2023.
Better than Zara 9.0, and I love it as much as the original Dior or Valentino scents I haven’t tried yet. It’s a top fragrance for the price—under $25—with an incredibly well-executed iris note and lasting over 6 hours on skin. It’s a shame the brand dissolved in 2020; finding it online is a nightmare. On eBay, one day there were hundreds of units, and two days later everything was sold out. Someone is definitely inflating prices or refilling Dior and Valentino bottles. What a pity that in 2023 it’s so hard to get such a great fragrance.
