Another hidden gem from dl roelen that stands out from the crowd and stays away from mainstream trends. At first, it made me cringe, but after Flower Boy, it’s now my favorite; I just needed my nose to adjust to its uniqueness, and now it’s addictive. The downside: I only had a sample, so I’ll be buying the 7ml because it’s not for daily wear or any occasion. The heart comes from palo santo and amber with a sweet, resinous, and woody touch, but the opening hits hard with cannabis notes (people even asked if I was wearing ‘Marijuana’), leaving a green and spicy trail. Then animal notes and a smoky winter arrive, making the scent feel very dirty; at times it’s so gritty that I initially wanted to avoid it. It’s very sexy but overwhelming, so I wear it only on days in suitable situations, not as a daily scent. Scent: 9.5, Longevity: 8.5, Sillage: 7, Value: 7, Versatility: 6, Originality: 10, Overall: 9
