The top notes reveal a smoky accord of dried fruits, saffron, and black tea. The heart unfolds with palo santo, industrial glue, burnt phosphorus, and vetiver. Finally, the base settles on a foundation of palo santo, skin, talc-like notes, and musk.

The Door is one of the rarest (and coolest) perfumes I’ve ever tried so… please don’t buy it blindly because it’s not easy to wear and not for everyone. What does it smell like? Generally I detect glue with notes of latex rubber and probably leather. Rosewood is also noticeable with a burnt and smoky sensation. To me it’s like being in a gay fetish club (I’ve been there and The Door reminds me a lot of it). That mix of manly scent leather clothes latex sweat and the smell of poppers every time the bottles are opened (yes it does smell a bit like poppers too). I can even detect a hint of dirty sex the kind of smell you notice when opening the door to a dark room… I don’t know… But this scent is something very different… Repulsive and addictive at the same time and highly polarizing… You might love it or hate it but it will definitely not leave you indifferent!
