This is a bottled treasure; I love it. It’s a rich, sweet, delicious, and intoxicating scent. Warning: on hot days, it can be an overwhelming bomb that knocks people out, so I don’t recommend it for summer, but it’s perfect for cool nights. Everyone has their taste, so if you want to wear it year-round, go for it. For me, it’s quite similar to Amber Oud Rouge; the latter is sweeter and more cloying. Should you own both? I’d say no, unless you enjoy collecting similar scents for their smell or packaging.
This is a bottled treasure; I absolutely love it. It’s a rich, sweet, delicious, and intoxicating scent. Just a heads-up: on hot days, it can be an overwhelming bomb that knocks people off their feet, so I wouldn’t recommend it for summer. However, it’s perfect for cool nights. Everyone has their own taste, so if you want to wear it year-round, go for it. For me, it’s quite similar to Amber Oud Rouge—the latter is sweeter and cloying. Should you own both? I’d say no, unless you enjoy collecting similar fragrances for their scent or packaging.
It’s quite strong, the amberwood stands out, and it lasts for days, but it’s more of a fragrance designed for men.
On my skin, it smells just like Burberry Her: a fruity aroma with a sweet base that isn’t cloying. It lasts about 6 hours on my skin and several days on clothes. I loved it.
I love it! It’s my first EDP and makes me feel like I have everything. I like that it’s serious and formal; I once sprayed it behind my neck and it was incredible, plus it lasts for hours.
It’s a perfume with a lot of personality, lasts forever on my skin, and smells sweet with a slightly flamboyant touch. It’s one of the most unique scents I’ve tried; it makes me feel like a sophisticated and confident woman, so I wear it at night or for special occasions.
My first perfume from the Arab house Orientica, Amber Rouge, is inspired by the beautiful Baccarat Rouge 540 by master Francis Kurkdjian. Although I definitely find similarities, I also notice many differences, especially in the quality of the ingredients. In Amber Rouge, I perceive a slightly medicinal amber; the saffron isn’t well-rounded; I feel it’s a bit synthetic, with a pleasant sweetness that gets tiring, deep wood with a hint of salt, and a sweet floral note that doesn’t smell like jasmine. I like the perfume, but it doesn’t captivate me, neither on my skin nor on my husband’s; we will definitely use it until it’s finished, but I won’t buy it again. I must highlight its notable sillage, versatile and unisex behavior, and excellent longevity, over 10 hours on skin, at a very accurate price. Out of all the perfumes considered inspirations for BR540, this is the closest to my nose; the rest don’t even come close. Precisely for that reason, I prefer Instant Crush by Mancera and Kosmala Number 4; for me, they are jewels that don’t remind me of BR540. Every nose is in a different world, so try this perfume on your skin for several days before buying.
This is my first perfume from the Arab house Oriëntica. Amber Rouge is inspired by Baccarat Rouge 540 by Francis Kurkdjian, and while it resembles it, there are many differences, especially in quality. In Amber Rouge, the amber smells slightly medicinal, the saffron isn’t well-rounded and feels synthetic; it has a pleasant but tiring sweetness, with wood and a hint of salt, plus a sweet floral note that doesn’t smell like jasmine. I like the perfume, but it doesn’t enchant my skin or my husband’s; we’ll definitely use it up, but I won’t buy it again. I must highlight its notable sillage, versatile and unisex behavior, excellent longevity (more than 10 hours on skin), and the right price. Among all perfumes that consider BR540 as inspiration, this is the closest to my nose; the others don’t even come close. That’s why I prefer Instant Crush by Mancera and Kosmala Number 4, which for me are true gems that don’t remind me of BR540. Every nose is a world, so test it on your skin for several days before buying.
If you want to smell like every girl in 2022, buy it! Yes, it’s a great perfume, a delicious scent. But there are already too many people looking to smell exactly or similarly to Baccarat Rouge 540. I think if someone gifted it to me, I wouldn’t wear it, because I’d just become part of the crowd, and that’s not sexy.
This is Amber Oud Rouge in a prettier bottle. So, it’s the BR Extrait. I’m happy because they’re no longer releasing AOR. I bought the new one (Ruby) and hope it’s similar to what it used to be, but if it’s not, I’ll go for this one, which is basically the same as AOR. That makes me happy. I appreciate Orientica/Al Haramain for making this fragrance accessible at a reasonable price. I’d love to own the BR Extrait, but the price is ridiculous, and compared to the decant I bought, they are really similar. I couldn’t find any difference. Not so with the BR EDP, which I find much harder to replicate.
@lacasitadepan Hi! How was the performance of this Orientica? Is it really closer to the BR540 extrait? They haven’t indicated it has the bitter almond accord, and I always think it’s more like the EDP. I found the Ruby Edition at a shop in Santiago, and it has amazing longevity, projection, and sillage, but I confirm it’s less sweet, creamier, and more masculine. I’m curious to see how the Orientica version will be. I haven’t seen it reviewed much on YouTube. I think you’re from Chile too, and for now, these are our only two options. The Armaf version hasn’t arrived yet, which they say is really good. Let me know if you read this. Hugs!
Bought it over a month ago. I use it daily, apply a generous amount, but it doesn’t last, I can’t even smell it, and there’s no sillage. It’s sad because with my pH, it’s like I’m not wearing anything at all, even though it’s such an intense fragrance. Still, for me, it remains a hit; that transition to leather is spectacular. I just bought Velvet Gold and will give it a try.
This is Amber Oud Rouge in a prettier bottle. Essentially, it’s BR Extrait. I’m happy because they stopped making AOR. I bought the new one (Ruby) and hope it’s similar to what it used to be, but if it isn’t, I’ll go for this one, which is basically the same as AOR. That makes me happy. I appreciate the brand Oriëntica/Al Haramain for making this fragrance accessible at a reasonable price. I’d love to have BR Extrait, but the price is ridiculous, and compared to the decant I bought, they are really similar. I couldn’t find any difference. Not so with BR EDP, which is harder for me to replicate.
@Max_Emperador_ Hi!! I know both Al Haramain’s Oud Rouge and Orientica’s Amber Rouge don’t list almond and claim to be copies of the EDP, but I still get a similar vibe to the extrait. I own the Baccarat Rouge EDP in 70ml and 200ml because I absolutely love it. I bought a decant of the extrait, and Oud Rouge was so similar that I didn’t feel the need to buy the bottle. That’s why I always went for Amber Oud Rouge. I had three bottles, so I wasn’t interested in Orientica until I saw the Ruby Edition came out with an almond note. I was wrong: I didn’t like it much. It doesn’t resemble the Extrait or the EDP; I get a vibe similar to Red Temptation. They do share a certain air, but the saffron is so strong that I don’t enjoy it, and it leans more masculine. I don’t detect the almond. I tried Orientica Rouge and found it very similar to what Amber Oud Rouge used to be. I haven’t tested the projection yet since I don’t own it, but it’s on its way.
@lacasitadepan Thanks for your reply! You’re such a fan, and I wanted to get your take. I’ve never tried Amber Oud Rouge, which is why I was unsure about the similarity. I’ve been wearing Ruby Edition for weeks and was disappointed: it has good projection and longevity, but the scent is very bitter, metallic, synthetic, and less sweet. After that flop, I picked up this one from Orientica and really liked it. People say it’s super similar to Amber Oud Rouge (already discontinued). In terms of projection and longevity, I’d call it beast mode: I’ve worn it for three days with clothes still soaked, and on skin it lasts about 12 hours. After a while, it fades a bit, but you still get bursts and people notice it. I think it causes olfactory fatigue. The aroma is rich, creamy (almond bitterness effect), sweet but not cloying, woody, and sugary. It’s intense and very close to the BR540 extrait version. I sense some similarity with Zara’s Red For Him, a dense and masculine take. Maybe Fragrantica’s notes aren’t the final word; you have to try and compare. I got swept up in the Ruby Edition hype and it was a letdown. I’m not sure if it needs to macerate, but I don’t like it as much as the Orientica one. This has incredible performance, and the 80 ml bottle is cheaper than the 60 ml Ruby. Recently, I spoke with friends from an Arabic perfume shop in Santiago, and they told me Club de Nuit Untold from Armaf will be arriving in 1 or 2 months, around 60 or 70 bucks for 100 ml. They say it’s a scent bomb with insane longevity. When it arrives, we’ll share our thoughts. Thanks for the good vibes, wishing you lots of success on your fragrance journey! Hugs!
I bought it over a month ago. I wear it every day, apply a generous amount, and it doesn’t last; it feels like it leaves no trail. It’s sad because with my pH, it’s as if I didn’t apply anything, considering how intense the perfume is, but it’s still a hit for me; that leather opening note is spectacular. Now I’ve bought the Velvet Gold version; I’ll give it a try.
To me, it’s an exact copy of Baccarat Rouge 540, but with an unpleasant twist. There’s a note I can’t identify that smells like cumin and dirty ass. Here in Venezuela, it’s been massified among new rich people without taste, costing more than $80. If you love saffron and amber, stick with the original because it’s worth every penny. And if you’re looking for Orientica, go with Royal Amber, which is more elegant.
It’s a unisex scent that I prefer in cold weather or for going out at night. The trail is very invasive, so I wouldn’t recommend it for hospitals or places where it might bother others. It’s a standout fragrance, and gentlemen love asking me about it. An excellent alternative to Baccarat Rouge 540.
Even though it’s marketed as unisex, my nose picks up a distinctly feminine, sweet, and super caramelized vibe, even if it’s not listed in the notes. I loved it; I was worried it might be cloying, but it’s not. The longevity is brutal (easily over 8 hours on my skin), and the sillage projects more than a meter away. I have a decant of Baccarat Rouge 540, and honestly, they’re very similar. This is one of the best dupes I’ve tried.
I love it, I feel elegant and sensual, I really enjoy the scent, I would buy it over and over again. It smells to me like Cloud by Ariana, I have both but the Ariana one is sweeter and doesn’t last on my skin at all nor has a trail. The Amber, on the other hand, doesn’t feel so sweet and lasts many hours; I applied it in the afternoon and the next day at noon I could still smell it. I highly recommend it.
I no longer recommend it, they reformulated it and it doesn’t last. It feels more mentholated than anything else, like toothpaste, it doesn’t last absolutely anything compared to a year ago when it was a bomb and that’s why it was popular. In short, I don’t recommend it even a little bit anymore.
The sweetness shows up at the base and smells rich, but there’s a haze of a note that smells like a dentist’s office or a dirty bathroom, honestly I didn’t like it. Of course it lasts on clothes and skin, but I don’t want to smell bad all day. I had to shower and change clothes. I don’t understand people who use it. It’s an atrocity.
It’s a good perfume, but it disappointed my expectations. It’s sweet and spicy, but there’s a note I can’t identify that smells metallic or like toothpaste. I expected something sweeter, more sensual, and powerful. I barely feel it on my skin and it has no trail. The little scent I perceive is very personal. I really wouldn’t buy it again. The bottle looks common, and although Arabic perfumes stand out for their luxurious boxes, this doesn’t surprise me.
It’s damaged, it doesn’t last at all, and you can’t feel it; that reformulation ruined it.
I made this account just to tell you guys NOT to buy this perfume. Don’t think I wrote it wrong because it’s not original; I bought it at a multi-store in Chile, with a code and everything original. I can assure you the original smells like nothing, has a sweet touch at the start and a strong alcohol smell, then it smells like toothpaste or a dentist’s office. It’s very unpleasant and doesn’t last more than 30 minutes. They must have reformulated it and now it’s disgusting. I feel like I lost money because I wouldn’t even put it on a dog.
They’re cheap at ezenzia.com 🫰
It smells like urine.
I get a cotton candy note on the opening; I’m not sure if it’s just me, but it’s impressive how much it reminds me of that.
I detect a cotton candy note right when it comes out, I don’t know if it’s my skin, but it smells like that.
Everyone has it and it makes me sick. They wear it like water and try to get people high off it. I always ask, and they proudly confirm it, thinking they smell great. No, no… it should be banned. It’s detestable, and it’s all copies of Baccarat.
I have a mini version of this perfume; if you buy it, don’t overdo it. I mix it with other perfumes; it’s pleasant, but I think it works better when combined with others.
I signed up just to share my experience with this perfume. I hated the scent on my skin; it only smelled animalistic, like worn leather jackets from years ago, with no other notes coming through 🙁
I love this perfume; it smells incredible and lasts forever—days on clothes and more than a day on skin. It’s the one that lasts the longest I’ve ever had, perfect for night, and it’s a scent that makes you feel super confident. I absolutely love it.
I love this perfume; I even bought the 150 ml bottle. The only downside is that two minutes after applying it, I can’t smell it at all. I let it rest to see if it changes and spray it occasionally to let it breathe, as they told me. Has anyone else experienced this?
I’m obsessed with this perfume; people always ask me what I’m wearing when I have it on.
I hate it; it’s too invasive and spicy. A coworker used it at the office, and the strong smell was unbearable. I hate all the Baccarat copies—this one, Cloud, Zara, etc.; they mass-produced that fragrance so much that I smell it everywhere, and it only made me develop a strong aversion.
The thing with this perfume and all the Baccarat dupes is that after a few minutes, you can’t even smell it yourself, and people reapply so many times that others feel intoxicated. It smells delicious, but you have to apply it moderately because it can be annoying, especially in the office. Scent: 9/10, very similar to the original and many clones.
Oh my! I love any BR dupe, for real, but I don’t understand and it drives me crazy when I get olfactory fatigue or when it doesn’t last. I’ve seen many reviews saying a lot of people experience the same thing with any BR dupe or even the original, and it drives me so crazy that I can’t perceive it. Despite loving this fragrance, I feel it’s a bit misunderstood; every time I smell it on someone, I’m fascinated and want to wear it all the time. I really like Orientica’s Amber Rouge because, unlike the CDN Untold dupe which felt more spicy and needed to macerate, this one is creamier, more natural, and wearable. Amber Rouge is almost perfect for daily wear, while Untold would be a bomb in the summer traveling in a truck, so I save that for cold weather. Does anyone confirm if this is olfactory fatigue or terrible longevity?
Because of all these Baccarat copies, I’ve come to hate them now, including this one. I have nothing against niche perfumes becoming more accessible; my issue is that they do it poorly. Complex and daring scents like Baccarat get reduced to this. Plus, everyone seems to drench themselves in it because they think it stops them from smelling like themselves. Believe me, the rest of us can still smell, and it’s not pleasant. I’m not saying most people don’t like it, but some of us are tired of smelling it everywhere to the point of nausea. If this perfume makes you happy, use it, but please keep in mind the other humans around you.
Honestly, the moment I saw it in my hand, I fell in love—mainly because the packaging is luxurious and elegant, though that’s a bonus. The perfume itself is on another level: I adore it. It’s a dupe for Baccarat Rouge 540, obviously, but it turns out to be wonderful and elegant, with that classic Baccarat scent everyone knows. It’s similar to other famous dupes like Zara Red Temptation, which I also own and love. Orientica’s Amber Rouge exceeded my expectations; I absolutely love it, and its scent draws so much attention.
