I went to the only niche lab in Argentina, on Fueguia 1833. Amalia Gourmand was one of the first I tried without applying it to my skin; the jasmine was very strong and made me hesitate. I kept testing others due to the excellent service, but I was left wondering how the rest would play out: vanilla and dulce de leche. All are unisex. I came back another day and tested four fragrances on my skin, including Amalia. I wanted to decide within an hour. The jasmine on my skin was pleasant and not aggressive; after an hour and a half, the vanilla settled in and I loved it. I bought it. I’ve worn it twice and it’s a masterpiece. The essences are excellent: first jasmine, then vanilla and dulce de leche. Repeat: masterpiece, a fine fragrance. Greetings from Argentina.
I’ve been wanting this for three years and finally got it a month ago; my mother brought it as a gift from Argentina. At first, it took me a while to appreciate it because I wasn’t familiar with niche perfumes, but now it’s an addiction: I can’t stop using it and feel compelled to wear it every day, especially in this cold weather. Incredible that with just three notes they created this masterpiece; I smell more dulce de leche, others detect jasmine, and others vanilla. It’s a delight, high quality, long-lasting, has great sillage, and doesn’t give me a headache because it doesn’t smell synthetic, but very natural. The only downside is the price: outside Argentina it sells for 230 euros, whereas my mother paid 100 here, a fair price. Argentinians, take advantage or go try it!
I tried it as a sample and it reminded me of cooking dulce de leche over a wood fire in the countryside in spring, when you can smell the orange blossoms. It smells like smoked dulce de leche with jasmine; it’s niche on steroids. I prefer other scents from the brand in person, but if someone gifted it to me, I’d welcome it.
I can’t believe it—the latest reviews are from over five years ago. It’s a wonderful gourmand: it doesn’t smell like traditional dulce de leche, but rather cajeta, more intense, sharp, and creamy. You can detect citrus, perhaps orange blossom or orange, with a very similar vibe. The jasmine is dense and wraps around all that sweetness. It lasts forever. Warning: the liquid is an intense ruby red and could stain light-colored clothes if sprayed on them.
