Velvety perfume? Adorisse Velvet is finally here. It’s very feminine, smelling like a mix of baby powder and roses. At first, it seems like a white floral with a touch of cottonwood, though it doesn’t have actual cotton notes. Perfect for cold weather, but wearable daily. It lasts forever on clothes; on skin, it lingers for about 8 hours with a subtle sillage. I recommend it: if you didn’t like the original, you’ll love this one. NOTE: It can be overwhelming if you hate roses or avoid old-fashioned aldehydes, as it has a distinct touch. A friend calls it a grandma perfume, but it doesn’t quite reach that level for me.
