  • I already brought it to the perfumery where I work and have been testing it for a while. It’s a super-clean perfume, like freshly washed sheets, like laundry; it smells exactly like that. You can even catch the scent of the washer and dryer, probably thanks to those ozonic notes, along with undeclared notes or headspace molecules that recreate that same clean-clothes-and-machine smell (I think we’ve all heard that, I’m not sure if you know what scent I’m referring to).

  • We’ve been testing it at the perfumery where I work, and it’s a blast. It smells like clothes straight out of the dryer—super clean, with those ozonic notes that remind you of the washer and dryer scent. It’s exactly that, with those molecules recreating the aroma of impeccable laundry, something everyone surely recognizes.

  • On male skin, ABCBA New Alphabet is a perfume where marine and elemi notes dominate, giving a megamare-like, familiar vibe that lasts through the drydown. The coconut and plumaria are just passengers that soften this facet just enough so you don’t nauseate your girlfriend at the movies. In the drydown, there’s a nice musky base with an interesting sandalwood that adds elegance. I see it as a fragrance with good energy, cheerful and fun, progressive and entertaining, lighter than Megamare but with good performance (watch out with application). If you remove the marine part, the drydown smells like fresh sheets or a bath towel after drying in the sun. It’s very versatile from age 25, wearable all year and for many occasions, except very formal ones or intense workouts. It’s not the first time an expert has worn a marine citrus in winter, but yes, for the cold, there are more appropriate options. As always, don’t judge solely by the score; test any niche perfume on your skin before buying and don’t trust the paper alone. Your skin is your best judge.

The coconut and plumaria are just guests there to soften things just enough so you don’t get kicked out of the movies with your girlfriend. In the end, there’s a nice musky touch with an elegant hint of sandalwood underneath. It’s a fragrance full of energy, cheerful and fun, progressive and entertaining, lighter than Megamare but with good performance (watch out with how much you apply). If you strip away the marine side, the drydown smells like fresh sheets or a bath towel after drying in the sun; that’s more toward the drydown.
