I gave up and finally understood: Diptyque 34 EDP is pure luxury and originality. Out of the three, this is the one that left the biggest mark on me. Unlike others from the brand, everything blends together from the very first second without those typical separate phases, creating a constant and unique scent that lasts the whole life of the bottle. It’s a fun chaos where sometimes a hint of cinnamon hits you, then it returns to that super-original base, and suddenly a rose fades away. It changes with the weather, but the best part is that although it seemed winter-like with that complex amber and vanilla, in summer it’s super wearable, fresh, and clean. It’s the boutique’s signature: iconic, unidentifiable yet versatile, elegant, and natural. Just unlike its sisters which are beasts, this one is a bit weak in projection and after the second hour it becomes skin scent, making it perfect for the heat. A fantastic perfume that I love with a t-shirt or a suit, doesn’t matter!
It’s a blast, but the opening of cinnamon and clove caught me off guard. It was way too strong, giving off a very ’90s vibe that I couldn’t handle, so I liquidated it.
