What a masterpiece. The 24 Faubourg EdT unleashes that classic charisma I admire so much, finding it equally interesting and sensual in women’s fragrances. It has nothing of the youthful or girly; it’s a totally adult and feminine scent. It evokes those years when seduction was an art form made of intense gazes and bold gestures, far from today’s digital rhythms, without any rush. A smile in a neon-lit nightclub was enough to spark a flame, and a phone call at the right moment was more powerful than a thousand messages or social media stories. Today, with the speed of apps, that feeling of waiting and conquering has given way to immediacy. In the 90s, seduction was a game of pauses and silences, heartbeats, and perfect synchronization—a ritual consumed slowly, like a vinyl record from the first track to the last. The opening already tells you what to expect: a very confident and exquisite perfume. It starts slightly fresh and fruity, with a clearly perceptible bitterness and an orange that feels almost typical of Hermès, seeming very natural, like an orange under the sun. It makes me feel comfortable, as if the person you like took you in their arms and said: ‘This is our night…’ As it settles, the classic bouquet of flowers takes the spotlight. The scent is extremely floral, opulent yet not intrusive. Here I especially notice the hyacinth, which gives an intensely charming aroma with a slight sweet vibration. Occasionally, you can detect a touch of jasmine and gardenia, and the 24 Faubourg remains fabulously classic while maintaining its seductive elegance. Everything is completed with intense oriental accords. Amber and vanilla ensure it keeps its sensuality even when the flowers step back into the background; they never disappear. Absolutely a beautiful classic floral and oriental fragrance that radiates an attractive, feminine aura with great shine. For women who still know how to seduce with a glance and a smile.

This fragrance is named after the Maison Hermès’ Parisian boutique and is one of the few that has survived reformulations—a true surviving gem. It features a fascinating floral harmony where jasmine (on my skin) shines warmly alongside elegant, completely natural orange blossom. All of this is accented with aldehydic notes that give it a classic yet sophisticated air. In the base, there’s always a soft, sweet amber with a pleasant powdery iris; it’s a gentle, delightful amber. It’s designed for women of any age. It’s an extremely feminine, classic, and elegant perfume. Just be aware, it takes a lot of confidence to wear because it has strong character and really stands out. It works wonderfully for the office or romantic dinners and dates. The ambered floral scent is pleasant and warm. Plus, with just a few sprays, its longevity and sillage are excellent. An elegant aroma with dignified and charming classicism, unmistakably Hermès.

24 Faubourg is a delight. I haven’t found anything so elegant in a long time; it reminds me of Lalique without being the same, only in that elegance. Upon application, flowers and fruit are combined spectacularly, in the old-fashioned way, with the personality of a great vintage perfume that remains relevant today. Finding it now excites me; I feel like fragrances that surprise like before are still out there. It has body and soul. On my skin, the jasmine fades, and it’s perfect for elegant hearts during the day and for any occasion at night without being overpowering. Longevity and sillage are enviable, leaving a sweet, stylish treat, nothing simple. It evokes someone secure, firm, feminine, and subtle. It takes over the moment with charisma, turning heads and drawing looks, not by imposing. When it arrives, you know she’s there, but SHE is a lady. DELICIOUS.

In this perfume, you can see that when it was formulated, they didn’t skimp on ingredients or the quality of raw materials as much as they do now. It’s a very well-made work of art; a prismatic, elaborate aroma… a sculpture you can look at from any height and angle. It smells of flowers, roots, wood, and ylang-ylang… all put together to touch and give a concert. I imagine a girl walking through a Christmas market drinking hot spiced wine in Paris, smelling like this. Maybe she wore her mother’s perfume or simply likes high-quality classic aromas. After a while, something connects me directly to Anais Anais; I don’t know why, probably the white flowers and hyacinth. As if Faubourg were adult Anais, studying and with exquisite taste.

It smells like an old English perfume. I was waiting for this one since it was one Lady D used. It doesn’t last long, and the sillage isn’t much; I don’t know why they define it as an autumnal scent when the cold starts. It didn’t surprise me, unlike Diorissimo, which still seems modern to me day after day despite the years it’s been on the market. It wasn’t a big surprise either. You can tell it’s a quality perfume but old and clogged to its very core.

It’s my go-to perfume, my favorite: elegant, refined, and with character. No hype, it inspires formality and femininity. It smells like class, ideal for mature women with leadership. A fantastic scent that lasts all day with moderate application. Hermès is an exceptional house; it’s not for everyone, and nothing competes with it. I recommend testing it on skin.

A delight of classic feminine perfume. It’s a marvel. However, it happens to me like with Estée Lauder’s Beautiful: I’d be the first to buy it if they released an updated flanker, like Chanel No. 5 L’Eau. That version could definitely be my signature scent with my eyes closed.

Smells great and projects very well. The scent it emits on my skin is a very spicy blend, and I can definitely detect cinnamon (nothing of this is listed in the olfactory pyramid). It’s warm and woody, with personality; it stands out from the ordinary.

I bought the EDT today. When I checked the batch code, I saw it’s from 1999. I thought it was a gem, but unfortunately, it smells like vinegar at first, as if it’s spoiled.

I stumbled upon this perfume by chance in 1995; it was on promotion at a perfumerie. I bought it. A marvel. I still keep the bottle with its scent. Delicious.
