The easiest to wear from the Oud Stars line, almost mainstream, and that’s a good thing. It starts with a light lavender that fades quickly, leaving behind fresh, dark woods rather than old ones. As it dries down, it has a sweet touch reminiscent of Armani Code Profumo, but without being as aggressive. It lasts about 6 hours, which is decent for Xerjoff. The sillage gets a bit tiring on me, and sometimes I forget I’m wearing it, though others definitely notice. In summary: an easy, elegant, and masculine scent, although the longevity leaves some room for doubt.

This is a gem: herbaceous lavender, not too sweet, blended with oud and sandalwood. At first, it smells like a fougère with a heavy oud presence, but soon both ingredients harmonize perfectly. The wood is dark yet dry and luminous, while the lavender adds brightness and the bergamot becomes sharper over time. Chris Maurice has done something masterful here. It’s not invasive, doesn’t stain rooms or buildings, and is versatile and balanced. If you’re looking for a pleasant, well-balanced oud to start with, this is a great option, even if it’s pricey and requires limits if you buy too much. Otherwise, save up and buy it. Finally tried the sample, and it’s like More Than Words lost half its power. For those seeking a light oud, I prefer Kobe, Carved Oud, or Zefiro. More Than Words Light; pass.
Fars de is a fantastic fragrance from Xerjoff, a perfect introductory fougère for anyone entering the brand. It balances the composition beautifully, especially the combination of ambergris and lavender, which gives it an aromatic, semi-animal, and super classic yet distinctively modern vibe. It’s elegant, versatile, fresh, and high-quality. I recommend it for those seeking an oud base that isn’t skunky or pungent, but rather classic with amber notes. It stands out for using Laos Oud (buaya), a wood distillation that removes the resin, known as ‘White Oud’. GREAT PERFUME. 9/10.
